My current phone is locked without a sim card option, so I needed an option for an upcoming trip. In years past, I would carry a dual sim card phone or a second phone and I didn't want to do that anymore. This cord worked flawlessly as I bounced around four countries (Iceland, UK, Turkey and Kazakhstan). I selected the Global Plan and the moment I landed, I was easily able to connect without issue.After using it both in the US and abroad here are some notes: if you plan to have your phone power the cord, expect the cord to drain your phone fast! I tried to power it with my power bank, but received a notice that my power bank was too weak for the cord, so I purchased another while traveling. My workaround was to keep the cord powered by my larger power bank in my back pack, keeping it on all day when walking around. Leaving the smaller power bank available to charge my phone when needed. This was the best way for me.They will notify you when your plan is about to expire, but not when you are about to run out of data. You will need to keep an eye on this. The data plan is per time period in most cases, NOT per day. Make sure you know what type of plan you are buying. I ended up getting three 3GB Global plans for my trip. I would jump on wifi wherever I could and then use the cord when I was away from local wifi or wanted to check my bank account (using my VPN).Yes, the data plans they offer for the cord may be considered "expensive" depending on your carriers international plan (in my case it was way cheaper) and it's not cheaper than a sim you buy at your destination. But I felt it was a good value for the money.I wish the cord was more flexible, as it was not easy to coil it up tightly. I ended up purchasing another cord for my dad who travels and is not the most tech-savvy person. I will say I am very pleased with the product and plan to look for a more robust Glocalme product when I have to work internationally.

También probé con una SIM local y la detectó sin problemas. La velocidad es buena y estable, incluso con varios dispositivos conectados al mismo tiempo.Lo uso tanto en casa como backup de mi red, como en la calle o cuando viajo. La batería me ha durado más de 8 horas. Compacto, liviano y muy útil.

For my iPhone, this only works with an adapter for the USB connection. Once I got that in place, it works great. Does not work or charge the phone using the USC outlet.

it do not work and you cannot ever find customer support on the phone. i wasted my money . i am not recommend this Unicord. waste money and 1GB cost $8us dollars .

Very cheap data plans with many given to you for free. It is very easy to connect to but the speed of the wifi can lack depending what area you are in.

The best charger with hotspot, for long trips and fast charging is 1000/10.
