This thing is awesome and makes your X100 camera look amazing.It fits perfectly and provides extra protection for you lens.BUT! The real reason I bought this and the best part of this kit has to be the lens filter.I own the (Everyday Filter from PolarPro) and this filter is basically just as good.When I don't want my X100 to be as bulky I bought a 49mm to 49mm female thread to attach just the filter because it is so good.Id pay this much just for the filter, so getting the square hood with it too was a great value for me.functionality wise its great as well not to complicated and looks great.

I really like it. The optics seem good and build quality is nice. Makes night shots very interesting.

I really wanted to like this filter, lens hood design for the x100vi cameras. Everything installs, and works perfectly. The CPL/GMIST filter produces similar result to the everyday filter, but slightly bluer in color. The filter, and the hood fits together pretty well, also the filter adaptor has a turn knob design that allows the CPL to be rotated to the correct angle for different lighting condition, which I love this feature. But one thing really bothers me is the thickness of filter/adapter. This is the thickest setup I have seen so far. I have compared to at least 2 other setups, this is by far the thickest. I just want to keep my camera as compact as possible. I might just keep this kit as a backup for my camera.

Nice finish fits the camera. Well the finish matches the camera color. I wish it was a bit more affordable.

This is a nice solution but there is definitely room for improvement:1) The CPL lever is great, but they should have positioned it on the BOTTOM of the lens (not the TOP). Assuming you're using your left hand to adjust it (since your right hand is holding the camera), it's very awkward to move the lever from the top, across the right, and then to the bottom.2) I understand that it's near-impossible to get the hood to line up perfectly, which is why there is the rubber gasket. But they didn't even TRY to line it up. It over-tightens by a 1/4 of a turn, and then you have to ease it back. WIth a little more effort, they could have made it much closer, so that when you ease it back it to straighten it it isn't so loose.Also, you should know that this CPL reduces the light by 1.5 stops, so it's not really something you can leave on your camera non-stop unfortunately.

I was worried the mist effect would be too subtle. But it’s perfect. Just noticeable to soften the image to get that film skin texture. Good stuff!

This filter kit hit on virtually every want/need I had for my silver X100VI. The filter itself provides weather sealing for the camera, which is a plus even though I tend to be a fair weather photographer. The 1/4 mist really smooths out skin tones and gives, in my opinion, more of a film look rather than a clinical super sharp 40 MP image without sacrificing clarity. I'm also a big fan of the diffusion effect it has on environmental lighting. The CPL is really good - the adjustment lever is fantastic and the effect is uniform across the frame, regardless of the strength you choose. In other words, the sky/water is going to look the same and reflect the same colors across the whole frame at the 35MM EFL - see the 2nd photo attached to this review. I've seen some comments about the lever on the filter causing the lens hood to rotate, but that is the case with my kit. The hood stays perfectly in place when I make adjustments with the CPL lever. Speaking of the hood, it's a necessity to reduce or eliminate flaring (if that's what you want to do), but just as importantly it provides an additional layer of protection for the front element of the camera. The cap fits snugly over the lens hood for storage.It's really a perfect package and I couldn't recommend it more highly. 5 stars
