Kodiak10"-12" Disc Brake Ceramic Pads, DBC-225-CERM-PAD

Haven't installed yet. Regular mineral brake material would work just as well. I guess you would want ceramic if you trail a lot. I am a once in, once out, a season. I will never ever wear them out. Cheaper would have been better. Rust and pad delamination from steel shoe plate will occur whether its ceramic or not. Brake material is only bonded to steel shoe plate. No rivets.

Replacement fairly straight forward. Would like for them to have a more durable paint finish, or even galvanized since they will be used in fresh and saltwater.

Eight launch’s in saltwater and ceramic pad fell off steel backing plate. Manufacture will NOT guarantee if your zip codes is near saltwater. Am now trying to spray down with salt eliminator after each launch.

Ordered these for boat trailer, exactly as described. Work as they should.

I had to adjust the trailer brake controller gain up quit a bit after installing these brake shoes.

replaced pads on my boat trailer, so far all is good
