You connect to amplifier as a normal speaker, just make sure you have 8ohm output on you amplifier.

Is it possible to connect this transducer with an amp to a CD player?

If your amp supports the Dayton Audio TT25-16 you could connect it with this amp. The input of music (in this case a CD player) is irrelevant.

I’m new to these sorts of things, what else would I need to set this up. I have simhub atm but that is all as I am using for sim racing

You would need either a 2 way or 4 way amp, depending on your preference. The amp I am using is a knobsound 2 way amp which I plugged into the headphone socket. Then go into simhub bass shaker settings and select headphones socket. You can change the settings from the bass shaker section within simhub.
