Bound 3-in-1 Wood Plyo Box - (30/24/20 - 24/20/16 - 20/18/16 - 16/14/12) - CrossFit Training, MMA, or Plyometric Agility - Jump Box, Plyobox, Plyo Box, Plyometric Box, Plyometrics Box

I ordered two—12/14/16 and 16/18/20 and have already used them with multiple clients of varying weights. The clients themselves were holding up to 44lbs worth of kettlebells, doing step-ups. Not only do these boxes hold the weight, they also are well-made and look, well, let's say artisanal. they are good-looking. When not in use, I have the two stacked and they make an excellent and stylish standing workstation for my laptop, bluetooth speaker and phone. they're also a vital component of modified or progressed pushup variations, and as a step-stool for shorter clients to get themselves up to the pull-up bar, and can be used to modify those as well. Really happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to recommend or buy again in the other sizes. I put them together myself using a rubber mallet and a drill with a phillip's head screwdriver head attachment, and the generous portion of screws that came with the package. A full tube of wood glue is also provided. Each box took less than fifteen minutes to fully assemble.My ONLY caveat is the overkill on the seller's part to make sure I leave a five star review. There is a flyer included with each package, as well as emails that have been coming daily, to leave a stellar review, and additionally to contact them before leaving a poor review if anything is wrong. I only need to be asked once to leave a review. After that, it's no longer about me the satisfied customer; it's about the seller protecting their reputation and using me for their marketing. I totally get it that poor reviews can turn away dozens of potential buyers, but this company can rely way more on they product's solid quality and nag me a little less to support them through my review.

My review is for the 12/14/16 box. Please keep that in mind - the bigger boxes will probably not have the same concerns. At first I was shocked at how little the box turned out. Then I started thinking about it more and of course it will be that little for a 12/14/16 box. Sorry if this is too long but I wanted to provide details that would have been helpful to me when considering this box.I wanted a box that could help me babystep into bigger heights for Crossfit box jumps. They only have 18" or 20" boxes for the shorter heights for box jumps. This lady isn't near any of those heights. So I wanted something at home for me to practice and get my confidence up. The 12" side is just fine at this point. Plenty of room for my feet (size 8.5 women). 14" has a smaller landing space and 16" landing space scares the heck out of me. I will need to buy another box after I master the 14". No way will I use the 16" side unless it is for step ups. Too much room for error to hit a corner and fall. See photos with size 8.5 women's running shoes so you can see how big the landing pad (is and isn't).Assembly took me 1/2 hour to do... you will need: rubber mallet, power drill, sand paper, hammer AND a funny drill bit that is in a square configuration. I have never seen that type of bolt head before - with a square (see photos). Luckily in my tool box for drill bits there was ONE funny square bit. There is no way you can use a flat head or Phillips head bit to make this work. There were FOUR extra screws left over (is that supposed to be?) and I didn't use the included wood glue (it was too hard to put the pieces together AND use the glue). There were no directions in the box but the supplier did email me a pdf before the box arrived.You have to have a rubber mallet to put this together. No way will it fit together without it. I followed the directions but did end up putting two of the sides with handles upside down. It is together at this point and I am not going to change it. With the rubber mallet it will go together fairly well but if you use the included glue - be aware that glue will probably fly all over the place from the pounding. Be careful not to hit the side of one of the insert pieces or you will smash it up (see photo). There are a lot of screws on the box so make sure your drill battery is charged up. I did have issues with five bolts not drilling all the way down - maybe because of a knot? The bad thing about the square bolt head configuration is that you cannot back out the screw if it doesn't go all the way down. I tried with pliers to pull them out with no luck. A hammer afterwards fixed the issue. I did lightly sand the box corners and handles before using.Overall, I do like this box for my intended purpose: help this forty something lady get more confidence in box jumps so I can join the big kids at Crossfit. However, I will need to buy a bigger box eventually to hit the 16" height - as I do not think it will be good for box jumps. I am 5'5", 120 lbs and size 8.5 shoe. If you have bigger feet than that you might need a different size box to fit them. Price was fine, shipping was quick, and nice customer service emails from supplier.Photos - have a one gallon bucket of paint next to it for scale perspective. Like I said - its a small box!

My (16/20/24) plyo box was well-cut and properly pre-drilled. The screws were ~2" long and extras were provided, along with the appropriate drill bit. I assembled it, using the very nice instruction sheet, using only a small ratcheting screwdriver (pictured) and my physical weight, to press pieces flush. I'm an average size woman, and not a woodshop master, but it couldn't have taken me more than 30 minutes, which was mostly b/c I was too lazy to find my drill. I found it easiest to start by connecting the puzzle pieces of the sides flat against the ground, using my knees to press them together, and leaving sufficient wiggle room that I could hinge them upright after they were already connected, then use my body weight to press them flush. Otherwise you'd need a rubber mallet (which I was also too careless to find.) This plyo box does not have internal braces, as some do, but it is plenty strong. I did some research on the topic and determined that reinforcement was probably a bit overkill. This thing would be very hard to break indeed. I did not receive a tube of glue in my package, as another reviewer mentioned, which is fine, as it is not mentioned in the product specs, but it would've been cool to be mentioned (as optional) in the instructions, as I would've glued mine if I had thought of it. Like I said, I'm not an experienced builder.

This is the second box I've bought in the past month. Hands down this is higher quality than the other one. I wish the first one I bought was from this company.Things I liked.1) Dovetails are very snug. I had to use my rubber mallet to get them together which is what I would expect to happen. My other box had gaps.2) Top quality screws.3) Came with a drill bit to screw them in.4) Counter sunk holes were all the same depth and just the right size.5) Edges were beveled very nicely.Things I didn't like.1) N/AI've done quite a bit of woodworking in my day and if I had made this box I wouldn't hesitate to tell people I had made it and I would be proud to show them.Price point is very good compared to other boxes and the quality is excellent.
