As a total book obsessed, card carrying Bibliophile, I use books as decor throughout my home. This is the 4th Book Vase I have reviewed, and it is my favorite. I might prefer Austen to Bronte, but this Jane Eyre vase is much more beautiful than the other book ones out there. The colors of the flowers are just gorgeous and I love the silhouette of Jane on the bookend/side. And to top it all off, the seller is currently listing this for only $19.99. So, it's prettier AND cheaper than the other ones.5 well deserved stars

No bones about it. This is something I would love to have received as a gift when I was an English major/teacher. I wish I'd gotten the Jane Austen one, but my old English prof just reminded me the other day that I was in love Mr. Rochester (which we read in his class), so it seemed appropriate that I got Jane Eyre. The colors are stunningly vibrant, and the size is good. Not puny not grotesquely large, but perfect for a table or desk-top vase. And I love that they even included a quote on the back as opposed to just leaving it blank or putting more flowers on it. I immediately replaced the vase I had on my dining room table to put those flowers in this one, that's how much I love it. It's great for a gift for your favorite teacher, or a friend or relative who loves classic books. They come in various titles, so you can get your Janeite friend the Austen one if you like, or go team Bronte! I could see these on desks in college English departments everywhere. So happy I got it, and will be using it and loving it for years to come. Also, it's well packaged so the ceramic doesn't break or chip, so feel free to mail it as a gift anywhere. So in love with this item! A++ awesome.

Unfortunately the paint looks very messy

The dye had bled so the color is uneven (see photos). Not a huge deal, but it's definitely noticeable. I ended up returning it because it was bothering me. At least it came in one piece unlike the other ones I ordered from a different company.
