Let me put it this way - except for hands and forehead that acquired silvery white colour when spraying, my hair didn't get any cover.I don't think the pictures are real when presenting this product.I applied quite a lot and no coverage.Another thing - this is only 100ml can so if you have longer hair you'd need quite a lot to make it work. Nevermind trying to cover in between for better effect.Maybe if your hair is really dark, not a mixed like mine, maybe you'll see a difference on a strand of hair.My hair is bob length and I simply cannot see it working on mine to create coverage in the promo pictures and to that real white result.As for mess free - it is not mess free as it leaves white stains even after hand washing. It is slightly oily so you need sopa and good scrubbing.I wouldn't recommend, sorry.

This comes in quite a small tin like a mini/travel sized hairspray. It also feels about half full when you shake it.We needed some hair whitener for a Halloween costume and have tried a wax, which was more like clay, and that didn't work very well at all. Following the instructions on the tin this works a little better, the spray is more of a metallic silver than a white but then the example images are more of a sliver colour too. We had to use quite a bit of it, about half the tin, to get a very slight covering on the sides of the hair. If you want to colour a whole head you will need several of these.It gave a light silver tone to the hair but its was really quite feint and not that easy to see. It actually works better on your skin! It is very watery when it comes out the tin and can drip a little. It pretty much all washed out with one wash.This was better than the white wax we tried but its not exactly impressive and doesn't really live up to the example images. I think if you have very black hair this will show up best but it is more silver than white. Also think its very expensive for such a small can.
