Boat Polishing Compound Gelcoat Restorer, Fiberglass Polish for Boats, Rubbing and Oxidation Remover
Works well as a polish, but need a rubbing compound to remove oxidation. Boat looks good after machine application.

Amazing Results—Restored My Boat’s Shine
I’m extremely impressed with this boat polishing compound gel coat restore. It worked wonders on my boat’s gel coat, bringing back a glossy finish that looked like new. The compound is easy to apply, and the results were visible after just one use. It removed oxidation, stains, and minor scratches, making the surface look flawless. It’s also long-lasting, providing a protective layer that keeps my boat looking great even after being out on the water

Good compound
I used this with a polisher and a foam pad and it worked great. Easy to use and gave a good shine.

Good value
works well. I used this on my car instead of a boat and worked well. seems about the average price for polishing rubbing compound.

Works well 16 oz bottle for medium size jobs.
This is 16 oz. which is a little small for a large boat job. Shake well. It seems to hold particles in suspension well. Since this is polishing compound and not a cutting compound you should have already removed oxidation before using this to smooth out swirl marks. Or your boat is pretty new and you just want to make it shiny. Better boat also makes a 32 oz liquid rubbing compound which I would call medium cut (not really a full rubbing compound cut.) Both products work well as a combo. Both products are a little pricey. But, they work well and are similarly priced and similar quality to top shelf name brand products. Key note is for heavy oxidation start with a paste rubbing compound, a heavy cut liquid or 1000 grit wet sanding. Then move to this rubbing compound and then move to a polishing compound. This is a decent quality product. Pro Tip: Use a "dual action" rotary orbital buffer to minimize swirl marks. And get a collection of different pads. Also, an air compressor is good to blast off dust to renew the pads frequently. Cheaper single action buffers make more swirl marks and are harder to get a quality result. It works well and does what it claims so 5 stars. I might look for a discount or special deal at this list price. It works as it should but use sparingly to lower costs.

Easy to use and works quickly
This is my first time polishing gelcoat and I will admit I did no research. I see now that their rubbing compound was probably the product I actually needed to use, but I am still happy with the results of this. I have a 40 year old gheenoe that has lived most of its life out in the sun and weather. To say the gelcoat is fried is an understatement. I took this polishing compound and a cheap electric buffer and in a couple of minutes had my test section back. I could probably work at it some more and I am sure there is technique to getting total gloss back but I was impressed with how quickly a shine came back. I am happy with the results and looking forward to bringing the whole boat back around.

Does a pretty good job of cutting through the dirt and bringing out the shine
I used a power buffer - I'm sure you COULD apply this by hand but it would take forever. It takes a considerable amount of buffing and effort (and product) to bring the front of our 5th wheel camper back to life. It's the front so it gets the dirt, it gets the bugs, it gets everything that you wouldn't want. And it was pretty thick, there was little shine left when I used this. The reason I point that out is even though it took a lot of time, a lot of product and a lot of buffing to get the crud off and the shine back, that was because it was so dirty and caked on, and not a negative statement about the polish. The upside is that even if the surface you are thinking of using this on is pretty bad, this will get it clean with time and effort. I probably should've used a buffing compound first...Then, I took it to clean our fiberglass shower. Nowhere near as dirty, and in a reasonably short amount of time, the walls were clean and shiny. Good product!
