I needed a deck box for my kids’ outdoor toys and this had great reviews and a great price so I gave it a shot. So easy to build, nice sturdy box, nice, neutral color and good thickness. Much bigger than I anticipated and a perfect size for kid yard toys. The lid closure is easy to open, but secure and can be locked with a padlock. I’m thinking of buying another in as smaller size for pool toys.

We have a long driveway and use this box for deliveries. It was easy to assemble and is fairly sturdy for this type of item. The hydraulic lid is a nice touch. The only criticism I have is that, when a delivery driver leaves the lid open and it rains, it is a bit of a mess. There are many nooks and crannies inside that dont have any negative affect until it gets wet and they provide lots of places for water to get into. As long as the lid is closed, we haven't had a drop of water get inside.

Solid feel and is great volume once you assemble it. It looked small taking it out of the box. But I am very happy with the amount of room inside! Just take your time putting it together. I was looking for small stickers with letters on them. But the letters are actually molded into each panel. And the UP arrows are also molded right into the panel! Be sure to line up the complete side before you try to snap them together. On steps #2 and #3, I had to use a rubber mallet to tap the panels together. The directions were very good. I highly recommend this item!

Overall I good, mostly sturdy gear box. Color came exactly as is in photos, decent value for the money. Lots of storage capacity. Thick plastic that will keep your items dry and safe.My only gripe with it is I wish it came with a rod to keep the front panel from popping off if it gets too full. The only thing preventing the front panel from coming off are plastic knobs that click into place, so if you fill it with something heavy leaning against the front upright panel (long rectangle in front the front), and the lid is open, it comes unhinged. Easy to fix with an elbow bracket on each side, but for the money it should come with this.

I opened the box and started setting aside the pieces to begin assembly. One thing that could be improved is the letter markings on the plastic pieces. Very faint marking and hard to tell the letters which made a situation where I assembled the wrong pieces, but I was able to pull them apart without damage. The fit when totally assembled was not flush on the right corner of the lid. Hopefully it won't leak. For the price I expected better.UPDATE: I received an email to try and fix my original concern with the deck box that I received. East Oak was very supportive and offered to send me replacement parts for the lid fitting. Great customer service all the way on the end. I will definitely buy from this company in the future. I would like to update this review - after posting my experience with a water breach the company reached out to me IMMEDIATELY and gave a full refund. This was going above and beyond considering I had purchased the product several years ago. I have since lined it with a big plastic bag to prevent future items from getting wet and I'm so pleased with the service I will continue to support this company with future purchases.NOT WATERPROOF. I've had this two years and three or four times it has gotten water in it when I just sprayed water over it with a hose to clean the pollen off and ruined everything in it.

Exactly what I was looking for an outside option to store outside toys, life jackets and beach accessories. I waited a good two months before making the review, everything inside has stayed dry and no fading to color. There is an option for a lock, have not used yet. Value for money:I looked through many options the same size, glad I went with this one, it's good qauilty for the money.

Love this deck box. The instructions were very clear and I put it together in about 15 minutes. You do need to use a rubber mallet to bang in the tabs on each side. Use the cardboard box it comes in as a working surface so the sides don't get scratched.Once put together it's very sturdy and easily fit all the items I have. It looks a little bigger in the space than I thought would, but I'm happy to have something this nice.
