Oxford Japanese Mini Dictionary 2nd Edition

This Japanese/English dictionary is outstanding. Easy to understand the translation from one language to the other faster than most of my colleague with modern day electronic dictionaries at least! The Hiragana with the Kanji helps one with the written language as well as the spoken aspect with the simple examples.

Perfect! My daughter needed this for her collage course. Great price!!

Not as comprehensive as I would have liked, but it's ok for a beginning learner.

The examples for some words are cut off the pages, so I can’t read them!

Handy, inexpensive but much better than any bigger dictionary.Only Kana & Kanji, no romaji (IMHO romaji should be avoided!), standard Japanese Kana word order, clear English explanations, language notes, grammar tables.In fact, has a lot of entries, so it's suitable for ant learner, from elementary (must use Kana) up to advanced

It is an easy to use Japanese to English and English to Japanese Dictionary with no romaji (as teachers recommend). The size of this is also very tiny :D

This dictionary was purchased for a school library. It is useful as a dictionary for English learners of Japanese and Japanese learners of English. It can be used in the exam situation as it doesn't have extra sections that would make it ineligible for use in public exams in the UK.
