For the current price of $49.99, I expected an ankle strengthener that was of higher quality. The unit itself is nice but the tension is very loose. This goes forward, back, and side to side but it does so easily. I did not feel like I was doing much strengthening to my ankles with this. I think it would help those with severely injured ankles but it is barely effective for me.Note that it comes with a picture instruction sheet and a piece of rug backing. The rug backing is to be used underneath the unit if put on a bare floor that doesn't have carpet. Also, the back end caps kept falling off on mine (see photo).

I got this for my grandma, who is 84 years old, so she can get some strength back in her ankles, calves and legs. Only time will tell how well this actually works. She said so far it feels like it is working. After her first use, she said it definitely worked because she felt it the next day in her legs. This works out great for when she is sitting at the table playing cards...she gets to work out while playing her daily games of solitaire. Now, the problem with it is that the rubber feet covers keep coming off when moving it...wish they were tighter and didn't come off so easily. What I think that could have been added (upgraded) is, is that it should have nobs of some sort to be able to tighten and loosen the tension of the bungy cords...especially for it being priced at close to $50.00.
