Great carpet cleaner
My Bissell carpet cleaner just broke so I bought this during prime days.I have a long haired cat who mainly occupies the downstairs of my house which is all carpet. He on occasion hacks up hairballs and what not or will run his butt along the carpet if his you-know-what is in his fur. Sometimes my 1yr old will spill the cats water or the cats wet cat food has splattered for whatever reason. So I always have a shampooer in my house and have always shampooed my carpets in general. So far It’s done very well the few times I’ve used it. Its cleaned any stains up even old ones I couldn’t get up in the past. I haven’t had to pretreat, where with my bissel I would have to. It’s very light and easy to maneuver around. My last two carpet cleaners,Hoover and Bissell, were bulkyMy favorite is the hose/spot cleaner attachment is all there and ready to go. My last two were separate, so you had to go get the hose and hook it up and take it off, which was not convenient imo. I also like that it has a dry only option so you can really make sure your carpet is dry. Which brings me to the suction, it’s strong. My Bissel was not as good.I like the hair collector basket in the dirty water canister. It’s easy to remove the canisters for tossing out the dirty water, and cleaning it, or refilling cleaner canister. It is sort of loud, not any louder than the other carpet cleaners I’ve had but I don’t really care about that personally.Overall I’m pleased with this purchase it’s, kind of expensive but it works exceptionally well. I feel it’s worth it with the results I’ve gotten and ease of use. Plus it will last along time.

Works on high pile, shag area rug
Reviewing this item because although the listing says it works on all carpets, there wasn't specific information re: shag rugs. The purchase was a gamble definitely paid off.We love our 9' x 12' light-colored shag area rug. So does our 40 lb black collie-husky mix. When it was time for a deep clean we started looking at Bissell and ultimately decided on the Shark CarpetXpert HairPro with StainStriker, EX301. One of the features mentioned in the reviews that appealed to us was the removal of pet hair, which undoubtedly was embedded in our carpet fibers even though we regularly bathe & brush the dog, and vacuum the rug with a Dyson Animal upright vacuum. We also liked hearing about it's great suction, a brushroll that doesn't get tangled, the dry only mode, the 4 attachments, and self-cleaning mode.We did get a "Brushroll Jam" warning when we first began. It took a little time to find the right technique but soon figured it out. After we went over the rug once, the carpet pile was fluffed up and there were no more jam warnings. Attached are photos of the rug & most impressively, the amount of hair that was collected in the filter when we were finished. Now that the carpet has dried, there are a couple areas where the dog lays every day that need a little more attention. We'll spot clean these using a handtool in the StainStriker mode (combining 2 cleaning agents) and finish up with one more overall shampoo.Cleanup is simple and re-assembly is a breeze. This product blew us away, and we highly recommend it.On a final note, we followed the advice in another review and used only 1 tablespoon of the Deep Clean liquid instead of the recommended amount.

Don’t hesitate buy it!!
I read a ton of reviews and researched a lot of different carpet cleaners before I made this purchase. This carpet cleaner is AMAZING!The amount of dirty sludge I have taken out of my home and others speaks volumes.I own a cleaning company and this is the best shampoo system I have owned. It is easy to use and operate as light as a vacuum. The parts are easy to remove and clean. It is powerful and has restored my carpets which were so dirty due to a puppy and toddlers to pretty much new.It penetrates deep into the carpet enough that it eliminated puppy pee odors. The process for the value is unmatched!!

The Shark Carpet Is Powerful
The Shark Carpet Expert is powerful! It works as well on furniture as it does on the the carpets. It’s lightweight. Switching from the brush roll to an attachment is easy. I really like that the dirty water tank is easy to rinse out (no habitrail-like sections that are hard to reach). The clean water tank looks small, but holds plenty. Both are easy to remove and replace. Quick dry mode is awesome. Assembly is a snap! I am very happy with the Shark’s Carpet Xpert.

Pet owner approved!
The media could not be loaded. "Shark Carpet XPert"I was confused about whether I needed the pet specific model, but I finally realized the pet attachment wasn't worth the extra money since these units are essentially all the same. I didn't see the need for the extra cleaner reservoir since I knew I would be using minimal cleaning solution (if any). The Shark Carpet Xpert is super easy to use and to clean the unit itself. It does an excellent job cleaning my rugs and upholstery! Has a "quick dry" mode which turns off the sprayer, allowing you to operate in dry-only, preventing overly saturated carpets. You can use straight water if you don't want the chemical cleaner. Honestly, just thoroughly rinsing upholstery works wonders. I was just using water in the video and it still works great!! These white patterned chairs are like new again.Great suction. Sprayer works well. Easy to maneuver. It has a safety shut-off if the dirty water reservoir gets full, so you may find yourself emptying it out a couple of times if covering larger areas. It's also great for spot cleaning.I've had good history with Shark vacuums, so I'm happy to have this addition to my supply of cleaning tools. Hopefully it will last many years as my others have.
