This bookcase is very well made, exceptionally sturdy, and looks great. I purchased the six-tiered unit. It holds an amazing number of books on each shelf with no deformation whatsoever. I loaded each shelf with about 30 hardcover books between the uprights. The shelves are solid wood (no particle board or manufactured wood) and over an inch thick, but they are extremely lightweight. The bookcase is designed to be very easy to assemble. All the bolts have hex heads and two Allen wrenches are included. The instructions are quite clear. My only complaint is that some of the holes on a few of the shelves didn't align exactly right with the bolt holes. This made screwing the bolts into those few shelves a real pain. With patience and a bit of finagling, I was able to get them all in. One reviewer suggested not tightening anything, especially the cross bar, until all the shelf bolts are started. This very well might have eliminated the issue I had with the shelf holes aligning a bit off from the support holes. Overall, a great purchase.

These shelves are amazing!! It only took me over a year to decide on a product. I chose these because they have real wood shelves (pine with beautiful grains). Also, because they are taller than most - we have 9 foot walls. It took an hour to set up each shelf, with the help of my husband. Set up was ridiculously easy. And you must NOT tighten all the hardware until it’s all put together. And use a level to check both horizontal and vertical. Also, the “x-bracket” on the back, make sure the flat side where the screw goes through is flush to the metal frame (it’ll make sense). The shelves are sturdy and beautiful! Definitely recommend these and would buy again if I need more shelving.

Great deal on some very strong and attractive shelving. Easy to put together. Wood shelves and metal supports make the shelves very strong.

We love it! easy to install, great for my son's toys, and the best thing, it is solid wood and worth the price. Glad i found this.

No external Mark's on the box but the insert pole on one corner was twisted. After pliers, colorful language, and a rubber mallet, my granddaughter and I finally got it together in 2.5 hours. We like the unit, it fits exactly where intended, and very sturdy. Just wish construction had been better.

love this- very sturdy- i have each shelf filled to the brim with books- some pretty heavy. the bookshelf is in great shape, no warping under the weight. i will absolutely buy another one soon, my book collection is growing!

I don't usually write product reviews, but the quality of this product is infuriating. The metal is full of scratches, and dents. The screws don't line up with the holes. The boards sides are barely kept together with some low quality glue and wood filler. They are peeling out of the box. The board are not actually solid wood as it's written on the product description. They are obviously hollow. This product should be pulled out of the Amazon store. I'm really upset that I have to look for another product and deal with the return process.
