Ive had this camera in my car now for a year. I tried multiple memory cards on it and have found the major problem with this unit is with memory cards.I tried to use some larger memory cards (32gb & 64gb) but found that they didnt work, or quit working shortly after installing them. Recently the card I had been using for a year seems to have corrupted itself, and wont even format in my computer. I had to replace the card with another 16gb card.The night vision on this camera is excellent, I played back video one night of a deer crossing in front of my vehicle, and another night of a snake on the road. Both times the animals were very visible, and were on roads with absolutely no lighting other than my headlights. Glare on the camera from street lights and tail lights is minimal. Image quality during the day is excellent.The adhesive mount for the camera held up the first year but has recently started to peel. I think the swing from summer temps of 100 to winter temps of 30's has caused it.Installation was pretty simple.My only other complaint would be the speed at which you can transfer videos to your phone. It is very slow..Very Very slow.. if you need to save a photo, expect a long wait. One night I drove 25 minutes across townwith a video transferring to my phone. I would say this is maybe the one major drawback. The VGA outputis also poor quality, but live view via Wifi is very clear.For the price, its a good camera. It could use a few improvements though.

After using it for a little over 2 weeks, the WiFi stopped working. Couldn't connect to my cellphone so I can view the video via RoadCam. The device was working fine (great video feed) and now just not getting the WiFi to work.Anyone else had this issue? I tried to reset the device but WiFi could not be reach or WiFI not in range message, when trying to connect thru my Cellphone WiFi.

Over all rating is 4 as App is not up to the mark. Rest all are superb quality. Really I did not expect the vedio and audio quality that much.vedio downloading on phone is a pain. Need hold you screen and not to switch to other apps while downloading

its not a bad little cam, its got decent picture both day and night, but the only way to connect to it is through wifi, and you have to use a 3rd party app for your droid smart phone, and theres no app for the ipad i have found to work

Installation, function of the camera is great! Installed quickly to fuse box (under dashboard). Red to 12v constant, yellow to ACC 12v, black to ground. Fuses plugged in quickly and ready to go. Next to tuck the wire into the sides (behind panels) and installation on windshield was a breeze. Overall - clean installation and functions well.Additional/optional OBD connector is provided in case user does not want to "mess" with fuse box and allocating proper slots for fuse connections. Clean, low-profile OBD plug is neat and might work for those who want to avoid fuse-type installation for fuse boxes.The app... Is useless! Tried too many times to go to airplane mode to WIFI and would not be possible to connect to this unit. Researched other similar products here in Amazon and discovered FinalCam that is downloadable on GooglePlay (search "FinalCam"). This little app connected to the DVR quickly and efficiently. All functions well! Able to change recording loops to 3,5,10 minute increments and quite a few other adjustments including quality of video.So, 5 stars for the unit and functionality. -1 star for useless app... It just doesn't work...This camera comes with 16gb card. A bit to small for 1080p videos. A couple of hours of driving - it's filled and will re-write over other files. Purchasing 128gb card to reformat to fat32 file format and try it with this DVR. Will update this review once completed.Otherwise - RECOMMEND!!!12/28/18 update: The camera functions well and operates really WELL with the app mentioned. 128Gb card stores weeks worth of videos. Will purchase another one for our truck today.

This thing worked sporadically from the first day it was installed in my truck. Comes on when it wanted and subsequently turned off when it wanted to as well. Went on a trip to Indiana and it quit working all together. I thought I had gotten it back to working and went to work one day and afterwards got into a fender bender and I just knew I had footage of the accident to show the police the other driver was lying only to find out it had recorded me going to work that morning but nothing from the time that I had left work. Now it doesn't even come on at all. I finally had enough and took it out of my truck and threw it in the garbage where it belongs. AVOID this product at all costs.
