Meh...
Could have been an awesome book but there is no substance. "They do special jobs" is repeated all over the book, sounds dumb reading it over and over. Special food, floats in space. Every sentence is weird. I have a lot of other "Read it yourself" books. This one is not up to the mark.

One of the best books to introduce the concept of space to preschoolers
As a mother to a four-year-old, I loved the take of space in this book. My daughter is four years old, and the book is her first lesson for space and everything related to it. It explains various terms around space like gravity, space suit, an international space station. Its a level one book and hence great for kids who have also started to read by themselves.

Muy bueno
Este libro,al igual que los demás de esta colección es muy interesante para los niños y una herramienta perfecta para el aprendizaje de la lectura en Inglés,los niños aprenderán vocabulario básico y las estructuras fundamentales del idioma.

Definitely is level 1!
Many buyers have mentioned that this is not a level 1 book, it very much is! It definitely isn't a book that you'll want to give your child if they are only just learning to read, but it is very repetitive so kids will pick up the vocab quickly. It says on the back that it is bookband green (5), but I think it's probably more like blue (4) as it is so repetitive. In fact I would have liked less repetition and more information. My daughter, who is reading at bookband green, found this far too easy. There are some longer words in it, but there is a page at the front listing all the more difficult words and it is simple enough to go over this page with the child.

Great for beginners!
We love this range of books! My son is 5 and has been learning to read at school, he doesn't always enjoy the books from school so when we found this one, we snapped it up! He loves anything space so this was perfect. It's age appropriate and includes common digraphs so he is learning to read but with the joy of reading at the forefront.

Not a level 1 book!
I bought a few of the level 1 books and my son can read most of them however I found Astronaughts way too much for a beginner book... International Space Station is a big enough mouthful for an adult but it is repeated several times in this book. Might leave this one to one side now.

WE LOVED THIS BOOK
5 YEAR OLD GRANDSON AND HIS 3 YEAR OLD BROTHER LOVED THIS BOOK. NANAS HOME SCHOOLING EFFORTS TO PRODUCE A PROJECT ON SPACE, WAS ENHANCED BY THIS BOOK AS THE 5 YEAR OLD COULD READ IT HIMSELF AND THE 3 YEAR OLD COULD LOOK AT THE PICTURES. IT PRODUCED AND STIMULATED MUCH CONVERSATION BETWEEN THE 3 OF US, WHICH WAS BOTH VERY USEFUL AND ENJOYED IMMENSLEY BY NANA.
