Satan’s Affair
It did take a lot for me to get into this book. However, Sibby is an amazing character and I have such a soft spot for her. The book is dark… very dark but it’s amazing! So if you’re someone who doesn’t like the detailed descriptions of ‘naked twister’ and blood, this book isn’t for you as the author is talented and always delivers.

Didn’t measure up to its sister duology
After reading the cat and mouse duet telling the story of adeline and Zade, I was really looking forward to this one and having a novel told from the sibels point of view, especially because I was curious as to how she ended up at the fair and I wanted to know the story behind her and her henchmen. Unfortunately, this one didn’t meet the same standard as the haunting and hunting adeline books. So I was left with a disappointment. Maybe if it had been longer and gone into more detail about the background of sibels upbringing within the cult, it would have made more sense. But alas it didn’t. This book is recommended to be read before the duet but truthfully I think reading this after the duet makes more sense otherwise you end up spoiling things for yourself within the other two books concerning sibels meeting with zade and the politicians as well as the truth about the henchmen. Before I read this book, I thought the henchmen were ghosts due to ghosts being a theme in the other books. But I was happily surprised when I found out the real mystery behind them in this book; because it totally makes sense. So even though this book was a quick enjoyable read, I think with a bit more time and effort put into it, it could have been just as earth shattering amazing as the other two books but I also understand that this was just a welcome novel into the cat and mouse fantasy world.

a very good plot twist, although a little predictable
a very quick and easy read, VERY graphic (both in gore and spice), but overall a good book, the plot twist was a nice addition although a little predictable but worth the read

odd
Weird, just weird. The ‘twist’ was predictable in the end and I feel like there are still a lot of unanswered questions. Worth a read but just a bit odd

A deliciously dark whirlwind! 5/5
Honestly, this book messed me up.It is, by far, the darkest thing I have read so far. (My genre usually goes from romance to fantasy and back, or psychology textbooks etc).I could handle the gore/the cringe-worthy, dark descriptions of death and torture - I've got a degree in forensic psychology after all. This book got more and more interesting every chapter and I began to criticise the writing slightly, in that some things didn't add up and I was confused and kept asking myself questions. Then it all clicked when a certain man came sauntering into the picture and asked Sibby some questions, and my, I was not disappointed. Everything was confirmed and my mind was blown. I sat, reading the ending, thinking I was the insane one. I didn't really have any preconceptions going into this book, or even know what genre it was. I wanted to read Haunting Adeline because it's become increasingly popular over social media. When I read in the book description that the author recommended reading this book first, I did. But as I read, I wondered if maybe Sibby could actually tell evil people apart from good and it was maybe verging on fantasy or she was some long lost shadowhunter, who knows. I didn't really know what to think. Then when it got to the end and all was revealed, I felt like I was the one who was crazy (lol). It really was a rollercoaster.Retrospectively, I have now read Haunting Adeline and I am glad I read this first and it was very interesting to see different characters' POVs of events on a specific night. I look forward to reading Hunting Adeline now. Although I will say, this book did put me off of reading Haunting Adeline but after some reassurance on facebook groups, I bucked up the courage and pushed through and I'm really glad I did.If you don't like this book, you should still try and read Haunting Adeline.

HOLY CRAP THIS WAS A GOOD BOOK!!!
Damn this was gross and so good at the same time LIKE SO SO GOOD. DAMN. God I need more lol I cannot wait for haunting adeline to be delivered today. I hope it's as good as this!!! I legit ordered this just reading the back knowing NOTHING and god it was amazing. I'll prob read everything by this author now. Her writing is wild and definitely gruesome as well but so freaking good!! I don't normally read anything with these kinds of triggers and gruesome writing but she really draws you and then blows your mind at the end like I WAS YELLING WHAT AT THE END!!! LIKE FREAKING WHAT!???!!!! NO WAY!!! only thing I ask is that this book was longer. ONTO THE NEXT WE GOOOOOO

Twisted, gory, oh so dark
This was a hell of an intense read. Definitely not for the faint of heart, this is a very bloody graphic book. I read another review where they compared the story to something Rob Zombie would write, and that is a perfect comparison. There is one hell of a twist with this story. I did very much enjoy this book, I strongly suggest reading the trigger warnings and if you are iffy on any of the dark themes then this book may not be for you.

This took Halloween books to another level
I wasn’t expecting the graphics scenes, but as a horror movie fan I was thrilled it with. Carlton mixes well the grotesque, the sexy and the “flashback” parts, and even though you know Sibby is technically wrong you still cheer for her!The plot twist left me shocked for a few minutes, and it was so good! It remembers me of my favorite movie.I think the only “complain” I’ve about the book it’s not having a Portuguese version to share it my friends. (Also, the waiting that starts now to read Sibby’s next adventure)

Amazing Book!!!!
I started the book because I wanted to read Haunting and Hunting Adeline. Many people said it was better to read it beforehand and I'm glad. I really like the story but the plot shocked me. I didn't see it coming and I don't really like it because I wished that these men were real But the plot itself is fantastic! Its just my opinion. I hope that I get to know her better in Haunting and Hunting adeline and that she gets her happy ending.
