Let me start by saying I’m a MATCHAAAA LOVER. So I’ve tried many many different brands of matcha and this is by far my favorite!! Other brands have that muddled brown color and not that vibrant green like this one does and the flavor is authentic and packs punch. It blends superrrr smooth leaving no clumps and it mixes into my drink seamlessly. Definitely will be ordering this from now on it tastes sooooo good and you get good amount for the size and price.

I'm a beginner matcha enthusiast, and naturally came upon hojicha while getting acquainted with matcha, testing various brands on Amazon. While I do love the green, vegetal, grassy taste of matcha, I REALLY love the nutty, roasty toasty chocolatey taste of roasted matcha; aka hojicha.Now I will say I have not tasted any other hojicha brands to compare this to, so I really have no reference point for what is considered good, bad, or mediocre hojicha. However that being said I find this stuff to be a great introduction to it in my amateur opinion. It's affordable, tastes great, blends perfectly with a matcha whisk or electric milk frother, and in a pinch I've even used a fork!It tastes absolutely devine in a hojicha latte with milk and sweetener (if any) of your choice. My preferred method is to prepare it like matcha with the bamboo whisk, but add a teaspoon or so of cocoa powder and a healthy pinch of cinnamon! The flavors go together so well. The drink in the photo attached is a hojicha latte with peanut butter cream on top! Tasted like a Reese's cup in a glass. Heavenly! Just take some heavy cream and a spoonful of peanut butter, sprinkle of sugar if you want, hit it with a milk frother and BAM. Delicious, thick, luscious creamy peanut butter cream to dollop atop your hojicha and cocoa latte. Thank me later!

The hojicha powder is good, I bought one before and just stocked up for two more. The flavor is pretty good, and it tastes the same as the ones I had at ramen restaurants. The powder dissolves better with hot water, but cold water does the trick, too. I often mix it with 2% milk and ice cubes, and it tastes great!
