But what I can say is the BEST thing about these are is that I have always stayed up late watching TV. With my hearing loss I have the volume mostly at around 64% to 72% which is sometimes a strain hearing the TV and is too high for my family. Technically state of hearing aid.Charging case and its display of level of charge is excellent.I can use my powered USB hub or wall plug with charging adapter.The display shows both left and right level of charge.The case is very well designed and easy to use.Instructions are fully detailed and easy to read.The "fine print" for the product is fine print, but the instructions are larger printer.This is appropriate for elderly who are the primary buyers.This may be enough for me instead of more expensive prescription devices.I do not mind being seen wearing a hearingSurprisingly these work as advertised, Highly recommend but insuring they are fully charged and you have chosen the right size earpiece. As it does seem to improve the quality of sound by being fully charged and right sized earpiece will help to avoid sound feedback. Additionally, I was able to wear my reading glasses while wearing them, there is no interference with wearing glasses. They are small and lightweight, hardly noticeable under most circumstances. Whether it's a quiet study or a noisy marketplace. In a study, I can focus on reading or listening to audio materials without being disturbed by any external noises. And in the marketplace, it filters out the chaos of vendors shouting and people haggling, allowing me to have clear conversations with the people I'm interested in. The rechargeable feature is a great plus. I just need to plug it in for a short while during my lunch break or while watching TV at night, and it gets enough power to last for a whole day. As someone who's struggled with hearing loss for years, I've tried numerous hearing aids, but these ones have exceeded my expectations in every way.The sound quality is crystal clear, with no distortion or feedback. Due to occupational noise exposure over my career along with being in my 60s my hearing is hardly the best. Okay it's pretty bad. Having had good experience with amplified ear muffs for shooting I thought I'd give these a try. They do amplify sound very well and with the right ear piece installed don't whistle, stay put and are reasonably comfortable. Battery life is also good. However, they amply ALL sounds. Since my speech comprehension problems are the worst when there is background noise these don't help with that much if at all. So, if a refrigerator, fan or air purifier is running when I'm trying to listen during a conversation I hear all that amplified right along with the speaker's voice. Do they help? Yes they do. Are they great? Not really. My amplified hearing protection muffs are actually better aside from being bulky and unsightly. I'm giving them 4 stars because they do help some, they are easy to recharge, they are unobtrusive, fit reasonably well and aren't uncomfortable for short term use. But if you're looking for noise compensation / filtering, these don't provide that. I'm going to keep them, but I'm also still looking for better options in affordable OTC hearing aids.
