Hydrofarm HG2NETCUP, 2-Inch, Bag of 200 Net Cup, Black

These are the same high quality as the Hydrofarm 3-inch, although quite small. I am using them to start seeds under LED lights. I germinate vegetable seeds in paper towels, and once germinated plant them in these 2-inch net pots using a soil mix of compost, vermiculite and peat moss (Square Foot Gardening's Mel's Mix) , then after about a month move them to 3-inch net cups, which takes more space, and add more lights. By starting with the smaller 2inch it saves on energy.I got 200 of them. If you get only one, as it occasionally happens with my 3-inch 100 pack, it is a system error and you will get a refund after contacting the seller.These pots are great for starting seeds. I have used the 3-inch to grow large tomato plants in soil, for the first three months or so, and plan to use the 3-inch for growing herbs indoors. I only get Hydrofarm, because I reuse the pots. I wish they were cheaper, but I am unaware of other brands with similar quality, hence I am back for the Hydrofarm brand.

The product description is lacking if you don't know anything about what a net pots look like or thier size. The two inch net pot is, without the rim, two inches tall with a two inch diameter. The rim adds 3/16 of an inch all the way around. The net pot in the picture is not what arrived, the slits on the one I recieved are thinner and much closer together. Whether or not this will negatively affect anything I don't know but it should make it much more sturdy.As for the company they shipped very quickly and I am very happy with what arrived.

Thick rim great quality. The can break easily though if you try to pull roots out. So just cut the bttm roots off and then pull plant out.

Sturdy and strong. This review would be 5 stars if they included an additional band or cross at the bottom to reduce the size of the current four VERY large holes that potting media or hydroton clay balls can fall through. Current product picture is accurate.

After buying some others that were the 'same' from a different supplier, it is obvious that these are far superior. Price was great and I will be purchasing these again.

This is good for starting plants or routing cuttings than transplant to a larger pot you don't damage rotes when you transfer plants to larger pots

I recently wrote a review of another vendor's 2" cup because it did not have a lip and I said if you want a 2" cup with a rim that will not fall through a 2" hole you need to buy Hydrofarm Net Cups. Now I receive this order from Hydrofarm (Amazon) and the cups are bigger than 2". Can anyone make a product that is standard. I have hundreds of holes cut and now do not have cups that are the right size or the same size as the previous order. Your QC gets a zero.

Well I don't want to say anything bad about the brand, because they are an awesome company, specialized in all aspects of horticulture. I have a lot of years into the industry, and I think it's great that these guys do what they do. I couldn't bring myself to give them any less star's because of that, but the product I purchased was not what it should be. I ordered 200 2 inch net pots for my 154 site Botanicare system. Every other brand of netpots fit just fine, but these are definitely out of spec.
