Nearly identical to my old set
I gave these Nilight Jeep cross bars a chance when the new Jeep needed to be a little more cargo friendly. These crossbars are almost indistinguishable from my last set. The metal is 1/16 thick (micrometer measured). The plastic mounts are reasonably strong and have metal clamps to go on the gutters. The locks are mostly for show and to cover the guts of the adjustments.Speaking of adjustments, plan on dedicating an hour or so to assembly and fitting them to the roof. These, just like my old set, are on the frustrating (not difficult) side to put together. You have to get it all dialed in and that can mean mounting and dismounting a couple times to get it right. Once they're adjusted they are alot faster to deploy. You do need to make sure you have gutter space available to mount them. I could see that being a problem on some 2 door models. Even with the sunrider on my Gladiator there's enough room to mount two and get some gear out of the way.

Lock doesn’t lock
I put them together by pictures because some parts of the instructions were un-clear, overall they seem to work right however the lock on them doesn’t lock anything the face plate pops on and off whether they are in the lock position or not, but they do appear to be stable and sturdy, time will tell…

Trash!!!!
I bought two sets which I could never adjust because their low quality causes the nut to give way.

Excellent roof rack works with my Jeep and my Truck
I ordered this rack from Amazon for my newly ordered Jeep Wrangler, and it arrived quickly in a well-packaged box with every part in excellent condition. I chose this rack for its Jeep compatibility and lockable features, providing peace of mind when I leave my vehicle behind during camping or hiking trips, even though we have low crime rates. Additionally, I tested the 60-inch crossbars on my 2023 Ford Maverick truck, and they fit perfectly. Unlike my previous crossbars that shook under stress, these bars are solid, even when loaded with two bike carriers and two mountain bikes. With my Wrangler arriving in September, I am looking forward to mounting this on my Jeep, and I highly recommend this roof rack.

Very Nice with a few Flaws
The look and feel of these roof rails is very nice however it was a bit tricky to get them installed. The mounts relay on a small threaded plate made of aluminum or pot metal and it strips out very easily. There are four of these nuts and I stripped one of them without using a lot of pressure. Luckily I found a slightly larger bolt that still fit into the unit that corrected the problem while emails to the seller were met with silence. The "locks" are silly and don't really work but look like they do.I do like the aerodynamic design that cuts down on wind noise and if you are able to get these intallled properly they do look and perform well.Something to note: These are made for a Jeep Wrangler but not all Wranglers listed as a fit have a rain gutter running along the hard top. I have a 2015 Sahara 4 door Wrangler and I installed the rails over the passenger door since they do not recommend mounting them on the removable freedom panels over front seats and the rear has no gutter to mount them to.

Huge wind noise
They seem pretty sturdy but the wind noise is EXCESSIVELY loud! Not sure I like the oblong shaped design, the kayak racks seem to rock too much with it being sloped

Bar Nuts Strip Easily, Locks Dont Work
The media could not be loaded. When I opened the box, I was impressed with the quality of the packaging, but I found the Nilight Roof Rack Cross Bars had issues. Read on for our findings after installing the Roof Rack, and see our video. The Bad:-- EASILY STRIPED ALUMINUM NUTS: The nuts that secure the clamps to the bars are aluminum and are exceedingly easy to strip when tightening them, as we did in our installation, causing the bar to lose hold and allowing it to slip out. They strip so easily that I am concerned that the vibration of driving offroad will also cause them to lose hold. See the attached video.-- LOCKS DONT WORK: The locks to help prevent theft of the clamps do not work. The lock cylinders spin in place when the key is turned. See the attached video.-- MUST PRY OF END CAPS TO REMOVE BARS: The end caps have to be pried off in order to loosen the clamps Allen and remove or reattach the bars.-- VERY POOR INSTRUCTIONS: The instructions must be for another model of roof rack, as some of the instructions don't make any sense.-- MUST TRIM GASKETS: There is no mention in the instructions for a requirement to trim the gaskets to length after setting the clamp width. They trim easily with a razor blade.-- ALLEN WRENCH REQUIRED TO INSTALL AND REMOVE: There are no knobs to attach the clamps. Allen keys must be used.-- CAN ONLY BE INSTALLED ON REAR HARD TOP SECTION: The instructions clearly warn that the clamp should not straddle the rear and front hard top sections. Interestingly, the Nilight product webpage shows the rack attached to the front and rear hard top sections. The JKU has a very short edge to attach two clamps, making their short span problematic for secure mounting. This is not a problem for the JLU with a longer rain gutter extending to the back of the top.-- THICK BAR EDGE TO THE FRONT: The instructions state to install the clamps with the thick edge to the front, while all the pictures on the web page show the skinny edge to the front. Placing the thick edge towards the front makes more sense since it has the shape of an airplane wing.-- SLOT FOR ACCESSORIES?: There is a slot on the top of the rails that must be for additional mounting accessories. THere is no mention in the manual or the webpage what these accessories are or how to obtain them. The Good:-- CLAMPS ATTACH WELL: The end clamps tighten and hold securely using the Allen key. The nuts for this clamp are made of steel.-- PLASTIC END CAPS FIT WELL: The snap-in end caps and key plate snap in place and are held securely.-- NICE-LOOKING SYSTEM: The bars have an airplane wing profile, and the entire system has an appealing look with a claim to reduce wind noise.CONCLUSION:The aluminum nuts holding the bars strip easily, allowing the bars to be loose and slide out. That issue, combined with the failure of all the locks to work, suggests looking at other products.

Great fit, work wonderfully
These are a great fit onto our 2022 Jeep Wrangler, they are easy to install and they stay in place very well with no fault. They can be installed by one person, two is helpful but not necessary! Everything needed to install them is included as well as easy to follow, well written instructions! They are very durable and sturdy, hold up great with luggage on top, kayaks or anything else you may carry on top! Great value and highly recommend getting!
