No just one time each hour, & the sound is very tinny.

Yes but mine never shuts off at night LOL but I love the clock, there is a knob on the side to turn the volume down.

Q: Do the pine cone weights need to be pulled down daily to make the clock work?

No this is a battery operated clock those are just for decoration purposes only.

Q: Does the carousel get stuck?
