Works great
I'm using it as a AP for my OPNSense router, as far as I can tell, it's working perfectly. It does get oddly hot though, it doesn't appear that their is any kind of ventilation what so ever, if it catches fire or something, I will update the review.

Returned - Standalone mode did not work.
Ordered it. Couldn't use standalone mode, tried various ways and troubleshooting from their guides and suggestions from other users. Not sure if they eliminated this feature, if it had a firmware that prevented it or what. I returned it and refunded. Bought a TP Link Omada eap773 which allowed me to use standalone mode.

An excellent access point. It just works!
I purchased this directly from the Ubiquiti manufacturer’s site soon after they released it back in June 2024 . I replaced a Ubiquiti UniFi AC-LR access point (WiFi 5) that started acting up a bit on its 5GHz band after @ 7 years. I also replaced my 11 year old Apple router with the Archer BE550 WiFi 7 router which I purchased through Amazon in June as well. After some configuration / setup, I was up and running fairly quickly. There were some tweaks I had to make over the first few days since I am using several 2.4GHz devices, plus many 5 GHz devices, and my Mac which supports the 6GHz band. It wasn’t too complicated to get everything dialed in and now that it’s been about three months, I have to say, it’s been working great! Stable connections with almost no more smart device / smart plug dropouts. In addition, the free apps that you use for the set up and configure process are so helpful. My speeds are so much faster throughout my 1535 SF home. And the reliability of the connection is much more long lasting than before. You are supposed to reboot your internet equipment every so often to maintain top connectivity performance. Now I can reboot the modem, router, and access print just once a month vs every other week and the speeds are consistent and reliable. Even if I forget, they are still really fast.In our home, we are fairly WiFi dependent as we don’t have Ethernet ports throughout the home. We have our router upstairs in the garage which has its own coverage area including the outdoor spaces, and that is hardwired to the U7 Pro Wall in the stairwell, which covers the entire downstairs and most of the upstairs as needed. If a mesh system, while great in many scenarios, is not ideal, as in my scenario, the U7 Pro Wall makes for an excellent and so far reliable choice for whole home WiFi 7 performance. I highly recommend this access point.
