Great beginner board
Don't let me giving this 3 stars discourage you from buying this board. It was a great starter board and i love the retractable fins and hook. Choosing how far the fins go in is a great unique way to change how it handles and rides. For beginners, having fins down helps get you up on the board and gives you a smooth even ride. For when you start to do surface 360's and wake jumping having them up is the best option. It has considerable pop for it's heavy plastic body which is a bonus. The kneepad for all hydroslide boards are not very cushy so the o'brain kneewells are much better. Mine broke after about the 20th time taking it out on the river when i faceplanted and the plastic popped apart in the back and the strap broke. It is a good idea to just fork over a little more money and get a nicer fiberglass one like the hydroslide chaos, hydroslide respect, o'brian ricochet,(The one i have now) or the O'brian 5015 rush.

Quality control issues?
I've owned two Hydroslide kneeboards in the past and have always been happy with their performance and price. In this case, I should have been guided by other reviewers who reported that the strap stitching came unraveled on their boards. The same happened to us after 1 month of ownership. Luckily, the manufacturer (Nash) has agreed to send a new strap free of charge. My only other issue, somewhat minor, is that one of the fins doesn't fully retract. It's not enough to deter 360s but probably another indicator that quality control was not great on this model.

Love, love the Hydroslide Razorback kneeboard - five stars
Hydroslide Razorback kneeboard is totally awesome. All riders got up on the first try. Didn't think the young ones would be able to do it. What a shock. Two nine-year-olds and one twelve-year-old got right on up on the first try. They absolutely love it. I had just bought a hotdog from Amazon the week before for all three to ride at one time. They did love it, but now they are all fighting over who is going to ride the kneeboard first. All adults got up first try too. Love, love, love the hydro hook that you hook your rope handle into while you are getting up and buckling on. First, the adults laughed at me for ordering one that had the hook. Then, immediately, they said that was a great addition. We are all in love with this hydro hook Hydroslide. You will not be disappointed.

It takes on water
For starters, this is my 3rd hydro slide board. The first being a pro xlt from the late 80’s to a newer pro xlt in late 90’s ( both are worn completely out... one I broke in half jumping wakes)till now with this one. I’m an experienced rider and will say I really like the brand. But we literally received this board like a week ago and took it out for the first time, took it out of the water and watched it drain water from the inside..... I’m about to crate it up and send it back. Not got warm fuzzies about this board. Maybe time to change to an HO brand board....

Get the extended warranty! Strap broke after only a few rides.
Not overly impressed with the durability of this kneeboard. The actuator for the fi s that drop down is not secure in the board. Also the strap stitching ripped out forcing us to sow it ourselves on vacation to be able to continue using. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty on it.

Bottom bubbles in heat.
Good knee wells. Bought in May and did not get to use it until today, July 19. In the 85 degree sun for one hour and bottom bubbled bad! Still trying to press bubbles out of the bottom. Wish I could return.

Started good but it didn't last...
This seemed like a great board when we got it. It was an upgrade for a 1980s era board. The handle hook was a great feature and weekend 1 we loved it. Then weekend 2 on the water it suddenly stopped having pop off the wake. When we took it out of the water it seemed really heavy. When we picked it up again, we saw water squirting out where one of the retractable fins is. We shook the board to find out it was full of water. Water leaked out for at least 3-4 days when set up on end. When moving it around, the screws holding in one of the retractable fins popped partially out as though the screw was stripped or something. We really had a lot of fun the first weekend out and it seemed like a great board. I was really disappointed at the issues we had. Returned it and got one without retractable fins.

Great Easy to Ride Kneeboard!
I bought this as a gift! The person I bought for had an older version of this type of kneeboard! This was definitely an upgrade with having the spot for the handle off the rope! As a first time rider on this kneeboard it was easy to get up and the ride was very smooth and made gliding across the water very easy and enjoyable! If you’re looking for a good quality and comfortable kneeboard this is a great choice!
