Bought this because it was cute. The spoons are much smaller than they look

These may seem a bit expensive for what you get. But when cooking for one or two, where recipes must be downsized to ridiculous amounts, especially with spices, they are wonderful. Although they are described as dash, pinch, tad, smidgen and drop, another reviewer says they test out to be 1/4. 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 and 1/64 teaspoon. That is important when measuring spices for small recipes such as a one-egg muffin omelet where guessing a quantity as small as 1/32 tsp and accidentally doubling it to 1/16 tsp can ruin a recipe. These will pay for themselves with the money saved by not ruining recipes. They are very sturdy and have long handles and narrow rectangular spoons that fit into almost any spice jar. I would have bought these years ago if I could have found them.

I purchased these to measure the amount of supplements I need to take daily. The supplements I am measuring are in powder form and I really like the flat handles, because any straight edge easily removes any extra powder and gives a level measurement. I use the edge of one spoon to level off the powder on another. I needed the 1/32 tsp and 1/64 tsp measuring spoons and am confident that I receive the correct amount each time. These are perfect for what I needed.

These spoons, in heavy stainless steel, will do real work for the right cook. I admit, I don't always measure with scientific precision. Some seasonings, though work best in minute amounts - and you might find times, like when writing down a recipe, when you want trustworthy repeatability in even those small quantities.Yes, these serious tools might be good for a laugh. I use these when I bake old fashioned recipes where they call for a smidgen or a dab or a dash, etc. They seem to be accurate according to a chart I have.
