Does exactly what it says, prevents the coffee from agitating as much and adds to consistency when brewing. The water above the grounds is clear enough to see through, if that gives an idea of what it's for. Quality materials, and worth the price.

Second only to a high quality grinder, the Melodrip has quickly become the most important component of my coffee brewing routine.Nothing else has given me near the control of speed and flow that I’m able to achieve with this thing, and my coffee has been substantially – and consistently – more delicious since adding this to my extensive collection of nerdy coffee tools. I have several other pouring pitchers and shower heads, and while they’re OK, none of them has proven to be near as useful or effective as the Melodrip.Highly recommended.

I was very surprised at what a difference this makes. Smoothes things out and makes flavors more robust at the same time. Very happy with the purchase. I would recommend this to any coffee geek who wants to level up their pour over game.

i love my pour over coffee makers and this thing does a great jog of making a great thing even better. i have been using it with Chemex, Hario and kalita and it enhances all three. it take a bit longer to make coffee but good things come to those who wait right? yes of course right.

Once you understand how your pouring technique can make or break a pour over, only then can you truly appreciate the utility of Melodrip.When I first got into pour over a long while ago, I didn’t understand what impact your pouring could have on a brew. Once I understood this I refined my technique and became better at it but there were still times when I just didn’t get the pouring part right.Melodrip removes this variable from the equation and makes your pour consistent nearly every time.If you pair it with a fast flowing dripper, Melodrip allows you to grind finer and potentially extract more from your coffee, where as without Melo drip, your technique needs to be closer to flawless when going finer so as not to stall your brew.TLDR; Melo drip is a cheat code for perfect pours.

Excellent quality and function, but don’t be in a rush.
