Perfect for thicker hair.
I had the standard size French pins and just couldn't get them to hold all of my hair, no matter how I tried. I looked for a longer version and found these. They work very well and hold all of my thick, long hair in a twist very securely.

I would recommend
Perfect for long thick hair but it is rather heavy so practice with it so you get it set right and you'll avoid that painful pull.

Doesn’t hold up my medium thickness/medium length hair very well
I didn’t realize how big they were before buying them. They’re about 5.5 inches long. I think it would work better for someone with reallyyyy long and thick hair; my hair has a medium thickness when it’s straight and falls just under my shoulder blades. It doesn’t keep my hair pinned up very well.

Didn't know I needed it...but I do
It's not flimsy by any means and can definitely hold up asian course hair...especially if you have a lot of it. The ones made of plastic won't last 5 minutes but this... just get it.

Pretty
These hair pins are very pretty and very sturdy, but they are too slick and heavy to stay in my very fine hair.

DEADLY!
ZERO STARS! These hair pins are deadly! I would NOT recommend these to anyone! They will rip out your hair! I tried many times and watched a few videos…. I returned them for refund… said I was getting a refund and today I find out they replaced them! These will also be going back as soon as the driver gets here.

Finally! French hair pins that work and are well priced
I got sick of wearing claw clips as they are not very elegant and take up a lot of space in my bag. Plus they break and can be uncomfortable on the back of the head, especially in the car etc.Enter the French pin. I saw these being used on social media and realized I had totally forgotten they exist. On my next trip to target, I took a look in the hair aisle and the only one they had was like $15-20 for one. Nope. So off to Amazon I went, and found these. It took a few tries and a couple YouTube tutorials to get the hang of it, but they work beautifully. They fit in virtually any bag or clutch and take up no space. You can coordinate either metal tone with your outfit. They are much more elegant and refined than a claw clip or a scrunchie.I have pretty long hair, almost to my back, and a lot of it, although it’s quite fine and usually pretty silky. I find these hold my hair pretty well if I use them correctly. They’re easy to use once you get a hang of the technique. Watch a few YouTube videos and you’ll figure it out.

Too thick
These are too thick at the points so hair gets caught when trying to push through hair
