It works like said, just that the ball sometimes falls of the cord and I’ll usually have to get twisters and tie it back tightly. This has happened with my last tennis rebound kit from another brand also. Other than that it’s fine!

I can't speak for what this was intended for but it works great the way we use it! I bought this as a Christmas gift for my grandma this year as she is 82 and has sciatic nerve pain so she has trouble getting around. Her rat terrier mix is about 6 years old now and is absolutely obsessed with tennis balls and fetch. I bought this so they could play fetch without having to get up and get the ball when the dog can't find it or it rolls down the hill if ourside. The dog can now play tug-o-war by herself too, though she won't be left with it unsupervised just in case she tries to chew through the stretchy string (which seems durable minus dog teeth). It seems to be working great so far and will be even better when the weather warms up!!

My wife is using hitting the tennis ball as I write this review. I have to say, we were both really skeptical that it would work because the base doesn't seem like it would be heavy enough. It was a bit annoying to fill up with water (it would help if the filling hole was a bit larger), but once you have it filled it barely moves at all. My wife (she played tennis throughout school) said it is a good way to really work on developing a technical swing because in order for the ball to return back to her. However, you can't just hit the ball anywhere otherwise it will return back from all sorts of angles. You still need quite a large, flat space to hit on, but it sure is a lot smaller than a tennis court (and you can play by yourself). A regular sized driveway should be plenty of space. Overall, we are really pleased with this!

Great tool for practice. Not for beginners, better for those with experience and would like to keep up their game and stamina. Definite learning curve for beginners. You will break a sweat either way. Nice quarantine cardio workout. I would give 5 stars but the pin does come undone every now and then which causes the ball to fly across the yard

**edited to add: after several messages they made amends. Increased stars based on that.Do not buy! Received it over a month later. Tried to use it and the plug that holds the string into the unit flies out when you hit the ball. Plugged it back in and plug falls out again and string breaks. Contacted seller twice and they refuse to allow a return. That should tell you, it is a defective product, and they know it.

This took a long time to arrive and one of the pads was missing plus no directions how to put it together. I found a tube that walked me through it and now it works pretty well! Plus they sent me an extra ball with cord

It works well but wears really quickly. If you use it daily, it might not last for more than a week or so. The cord gets all frayed and you risk launching the ball when it tears.
