Perfection!
I love it! I use it in my pond to filter and aerate. The older models didn’t have a solar panel to power it, but this one does. Gives the pond a nice aesthetic too so I feel classy as hell

It was great when it worked.
We have a 200 gallon pond. We set this up with an additional barrel filter. This pond pump worked well for us for 3 months. Then would sporadically function for the next 3 months. Then died. Save your money and buy something else.

Disappointing
Did not work the greatest. The solar panel worked great and the fountain part worked great. It did not clean the water well. Not the most power. I wouldn't repurchase.

Impressed!
I was a tad skeptical, but this works perfectly!! Easy to install, solar panel has to be in direct sunlight and the pump gives off a powerful water flow!

Fabulous with one major defect!
i WAS VERY AGRY WHEN i FIRST RECEIVED THIS (see ORIGINAL REVIEW). There is an easy fix. When you receive the product, just pop off the solar panel back plate. It is the black one inch square plastic in the center. It is lightly glued on. I used a good gel super glue -- entire small tube -- to put it back on. Be careful when mounting, as it is still fragile plastic. It holds well. The functions are magnificent. Water stays clean as a whistle. It is well worth the money, if you don't mind the initial hassle. Superb product with one major engineering flaw.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Total and complete garbage! After preparing the post to hand the solar panel, I tried to hang it up. What a joke on me. The LOAD BEARING piece of plastic to hold up this rather heavy and substantial panel was spot glued on. It fell apart during the mounting process. Totally and completely disgusted with the LACK of intelligent engineering that went into this product. How much brains does it take to know a "load-bearing" point must bear a load?I certainly know where I'd like to mount the solar panel now!

Beautiful flow
Foe a small.8 foot wide pond this has been the best pump I've purchased . Easy to use and put together, and the height of the fountain on a sunny day is about 4 foot tall. It's beautiful

Backup battery feature does not work
The pump and solar panel work nicely, but not as expected with the backup battery installed. I bought this system for two reasons: The first is the added filtering capacity of the box which contains the pump and filter media. The second is so I could have the possibility to extend the pump operation past sundown by the addition of a backup battery. I ended up buying and installing the appropriate backup battery (PQ-DC2200) a few weeks after the pump installation. My expectation was that during the day as the solar panel ran the pump it would also trickle-charge the battery, so that when the sun went down, the battery would take over and run the pump for at least a few more hours. Then the next day, the cycle would repeat itself. This did not happen. In fact (during sunlight), I would have to disconnect the battery and re-connect the pump directly to the solar panel for the pump to run. And in order to charge the battery, I had to disconnect the pump and connect only the battery to the solar panel. The panel does not simultaneously charge the pump and battery (during sunlight), OR run the pump if the discharged battery is installed in the circuit. This of course negates the whole purpose of the backup battery. Poposoap sent me a new battery which behaved in the same manner. So, the issue is the design lacks some sort of simple controller that (1) triggers the battery to simultaneously trickle-charge the battery as the pump runs and (2) bypass the battery and run the pump from the panel during sunlight.

Doesn’t hold a charge long
Doesn’t hold a charge long it only runs when sun hits solar panel we purchased the battery for it but still not seeing better results. I’m disappointed for the cost I paid,
