Update: I had an issue where the locking screw on a unit was faulty, so I simply refunded requested a refund and sent it back in. Surewo actually took the time to write me, assure me that they stand behind their products, and asked me to try the product again because they were sure it was a one off.I did, and I can say that it's a good product. I'm extremely impressed by the magnetic quick release attachment at this price point, as it is very solid. The strap is well made, well stitched, and the velcro is strong, it does not slide at all on my backpack straps.My only suggestion would be fore Surewo to possibly look into making an all metal unit. Of course it'd have to cost more, but their QR design is so good it deserves a premium edition. I'd pay the extra.

I almost always take a day pack when hiking or snoeshoeing, filled with necessities and emergency supplies. This backpack shoulder strap GoPro mount with the magnetic quick release mechanism is the ideal solution to being able to remove the camera to change the settings, replace the battery, or to just free up both arms when using ski poles. Great design!

Works great and is very secure.

The nut to tighten the mount cracked the first time I used it on a trip to the Alaska backcountry. Luckily my guide noticed the GoPro laying on the ground before I walked away. The idea is great but the quality of the parts is not what I would consider durable enough for any active activities. I messaged the seller to source a new part but received no response.

Great go pro addition esp for someone that like to hike and take video.

I will provide the review below but first, let me reiterate – this magnet is insane! I am sort of a magnet-junkie. I have neodymium magnets for everything throughout the house. Now, onto the review.I needed a new mount for my backpack (straps). My prior mount did not have a magnetic, or really even a quick-connect option. You place it in a grooved area, then engaged a locking mechanism. When I first started searching, I seen most had magnets and had QDs. I found this mount, then compared it others that are similar.Both the magnetic and QD options had me. Then I seen that the underside (the part that touches the straps) is knobbed, so extra grip. Lastly, it seemed like a good value for everything considered, so I ordered.On my first attempt to connect the arm to the mount, it was about 1.5” away and it grabbed it and locked it! I thought “holy cr**!”. So not only was is secured by a neodymium magnet, but it automatically locks into place. Plus, in order to remove the arm, you have to press in two tabs! I instantly became completely happy.As a note about the magnets, I didn’t see anywhere in the listing that the magnets were neodymium. Had I known, this product would have been placed in the top contenders. I highly, highly, doubt that these are regular, standard ferrous magnets as they are very strong.Fantastic product at an amazing value!
