Very comfortable and secure
These socks are a pleasure to wear. They have eliminated blisters and do not fall inside a boot when worn. They dry quickly when wet and maintain warmth and comfort.Ideal hiking socks.

Excellent boot sock if you need/like compression fit
I have the sports socks from this maker (also excellent by the way) but these are next level. Those complaining that they are only part merino wool need to consider how else these could be compression socks. They are an excellent mix of comfortable boot sock and compression sock. They work very well for all-day comfort in boots and stay pleasantly warm and wick moisture away due to the merino wool and construction. A good level of compression is achieved and are helping with nerve damage in my feet and ankle. My experience and review is based on many years as an expedition leader / mountaineer and soldier, so I know a thing or two about socks. Would I take them on day walks? Yes, would I carry other socks with me as an insurance? Also yes. Very happy with them so far, if they don’t hold up to outwork I will feed back but so far I’m very happy with the fit and comfort.

Ladies walking sock
Excellent fit, I take a 6:5 plenty of room for toes.Fitted like a glove, well padded in all the right places. Not too thick, kept feet at an acceptable temperature. Warm conditions today, 19 degrees. 7:5 miles. Nothing strenuous. Very comfortable when worn. No blisters or rubbing.Top rate quality and very stylish appearance.Down side, I took 5 attempts to put my socks on due to the loops on the underneath of the forefoot. Catches your toes and toenails when putting your socks on. If that is the only criticism, I would recommend these socks and most certainly purchase them again. Excellent value for money.

Worked for me
Used these socks for a 10 day hike to Everest Base Camp. They seemed a bit tight at first but I'm sure this helped in me having no blisters whatsoever after walking over 60 miles during the trek. They show no signs of wear or change in size after washing. Also maintained very low odour despite multiple uses without washing. Highly recommended.

Great socks just not suitable for a Binman!
These are fantastic socks in many ways but are just not suitable for the amount of miles I walk and run at work moving tonnes of rubbish around in wheelie bins? 40 to 50 miles in S3 safety boots on Bradfords terrible roads and pavements put a hole in 1 sock the first time I wore it and the other pairs along with some expensive orthopedic insoles have ruined my feet this last week. They are everything to me given my job and I have now gone back to Tesco dual layer walking socks that cost the same for 3 pairs as these do for 1 and the insole I got from my local cobbler.*I got in touch with the vendor and they sent me 3 more pairs of socks to make up for the one with the hole and they were here in literally 24 hours so the customer service is outstanding and I'm sure the socks are for most uses, such as with my sliders they are brilliant. In trainers they feel warm, tight and very comfortable but the bits for ventilation actually cause them to rub in the wrong places and gave me terrible friction blisters on the soles of my feet until they went after 3 days of going back to the cheaper Tesco socks that don't have a thread of merino wool in them but have never given me one blister. The socks wash and dry very well and keep their shape and compression so they keep on working in that respect whatever footwear you choose to wear with them. They are very thick and feel quality but I will say they can be very tight if your legs aren't that thin. Mine swell up when at work due to water retention and chronic vasculitis and I had to move the top of the sock up and down or I ended up with a vast difference in the size of different parts of my leg for a while afterwards. They are quite versatile in that they can be worn with most footwear and look great quality. They just are not durable enough for a job that puts such physical demands on equipment as mine. I wouldn't buy them again as I feel I'm stuck with some socks that can't cope with what I bought them for, after reading masses of reviews too, I felt I needed to put a review for other binmen and the likes who do lots of miles walking and running in heavy boots in all weathers.

Blisters
I'm not sure what I bought here. I am an experienced hiker and I cover easily 1000 miles/year.I purchased 3x merino Danish endurance socks about 7 years ago, they were absolutely amazing. I used them heavily and they still perform well despite the age. So thinking to retire them I went back into my original Amazon order and (you last bought this.... bla bla message) and soimply bought 3x more (same product advertisement, same colour). I really don't mind paying 30GBP if the socks deliver what it says on the tin. However, the product I received is very different from the one I purchased in the past. It “looks good” from the outside but:- I appreciate these are sold as "compression" but this is way too much. They are so tight that I get numb feet- the interior is pretty much loose wool- After 1 hour hiking, I got blisters, which suggests this is not merino at all.My feedback is: misleadingHow do I buy the old version of these socks? Why is Amazon allowing for the "same same but different" product to be sold?
