STAUBCast Iron 8.5-inch Traditional Deep Skillet - Cherry

The best and nicest looking cast iron cookware. I have three Staub made in France. I can not imagine the complaints about sticking and not able to clean. I use two of mine daily for 4 years and looks brand new on the inside and out. The only flaw I have on the handle of my white enamel handle is a tiny flaked off enamel but I bought it that way and I would have had to make a 300 mile round trip to return to a major department store. I should have examined it but it was in a box and never occurred to me it had a little flaw, which really bothers me. I painted it with porcelain glue paint and it worked, could use touch up again., but it grew on me. I am pretending I had it for ever since these were a replacement for my cherished old time belongings that we lost with all our other belongings in the 2018 Camp Fire.

I enjoy cooking with it. I can fit about 5 eggs in it and they cook just fine. The pan is rust resistant and it is very versatile. Can be use in the oven to bake as well. It is easy to use just let it warm up first. It’s heavy due to the cast iron material. I think it’s worth the cost. It will last you a lifetime time. I highly recommend.

THIS COOKING PAN .. IS FAR ABOVE ANY IRON COOKING SKILLET I HAVE EVER USED .....ITS SUPERIOR IN TERMS OF COOKING AND CLEANING.. IT IS ITS LIKE A MIRACLE.....RELATIVE TO PREVIOUS POTS I HAVE OWNED.🙂

Staub sets a high standard for cookware. If you're unfamiliar spend some time researching the finish. Available in many colors I purchased the white for a friend who has an all white kitchen. Not all colors available everywhere so I checked Amazon and sure enough there was the white and available quickly. This is heavy like a traditional cast iron pan. The colored glaze is truly beautiful. They clean up well. I put some water in the still hot pan when I'm finished cooking. By the time I want to clean it, the pan is quickly cleaned. It heats well and I can get it really hot without burning what I'm cooking. I use mine for just about anything I want to cook. Available in multiple sizes, this is a nice size for a meal for two.

This staub 8.5 inch “deep skillet” is so perfect.It will be the star of my Southern Buttermilk Cornbread.It is perfect to make a small fruit cobbler or a 1 layer carrot cake or Banana bread. Of course, Staub makes a beautiful cookware , which will last a 100 yrs, etc if taken care of!

I love this Staub skillet! Am a huge fan of Staub and will be adding more pieces to my collection. This one is good for a family of 4 for a side dish.
