They said that they didn't realize that the listing was incorrect in stating what is included with this product. They completely owned it and apologized. They updated the listing quite quickly to correctly show what's included. They even said it was unprofessional on their end. This is probably the most honest and accountable a company has ever been with me, so I really respect that. They sent me a replacement with some extras, which was very nice of them. The replacement fogger does work better than the original one I got. The SmokeNinja is cool and versatile and I look forward to using it now that it works like it should. Customer service from this company is exceptional!*****ORIGINAL REVIEW SEPTEMBER 2024*****I'll start by saying the fogger itself is ok, usually. I say usually because it will randomly just not work. When I went to film the video for this review, I had to mess with it for a couple of minutes, plug it in and unplug it for it to start working. And this isn’t the first time it hasn’t worked for me either, I would say about 1 out of 5 times it doesn't work. At this price point, this should just work, every time. I do like the 3 different presets, and they are different from each other. I like that it's rechargeable, via type-c and the battery lasts a good amount of time. It's also very handy how small it is, making it very easy to pack in your bag. The fog has no smell, which I think we can all appreciate. Overall, for its size it does a lot.Now let's talk about the product page/listing and what doesn't come with this. There is not a case that comes with this, for the price I feel like a case should've been included. It comes with 1 rubber hose, you don’t get the other hose attachments for the different fog modes. There is no 1/4" mount included and despite the video and the product description, there is no magnetic mount included either. There are at least 3 different spots on this listing that say both of these things are included."VERSATILE MOUNTING OPTIONS: The SmokeNINJA comes with a range of versatile mounting hardware, including a magnetic mount and a 1/4" screw mount（no remote control included）. You can attach it virtually anywhere, giving you the flexibility to capture the perfect shot."The description literally says it comes with both of those things. The video also says the magnetic mount is included. If you are dropping $199 on something and it says certain things are included, but they are actually part of a kit that costs $50, it's pretty disappointing. It's not the customers fault that the product page is incorrect. And I got this back in May and they have not corrected the listing yet. Honestly, I feel like I was duped, which isn’t a great feeling when dropping this much money. PMI you should really update this product listing, because as it is right now, it feels very much intentionally misleading. While writing this there is a $70 discount happening, I could maybe recommend it then. But, if you are paying full price, I can’t really recommend this.

As a photographer, I recently purchased the PMI SmokeNINJA (Starter kit), and I have to say, I love it! This smoke effect tool has added an exciting new dimension to my shoots, making my photos stand out with its dramatic and ethereal smoke effects.The SmokeNINJA starter kit is very affordable for such an item, making it accessible for photographers looking to experiment with creative effects without breaking the bank. The smoke is easy to use and provides consistent results, helping me achieve the look I want for my shots.However, I’m giving it 4 stars, and that’s not the item's fault but mine. I realized that the full kit would have been a better choice for my needs. The starter kit is great, but the full kit offers more versatility and options that I find myself wanting now. I’m confident the full kit would definitely be worth 5 stars with all the additional features it includes.One of the highlights of my experience with PMI has been their friendly customer service. They were helpful and responsive, making the purchasing process smooth and reassuring. It’s always a plus when a company stands behind their product and supports their customers well.Overall, the PMI SmokeNINJA starter kit is a fantastic addition to my photography toolkit. It’s a great value, and while I wish I had opted for the full kit, I’m still very pleased with the performance of the starter kit. Highly recommended for photographers looking to add a creative edge to their work!

In addition to a fair amount of art/product/figure photography, I create a lot of set models for film and stage as well as miniature displays (ranging from 1/6 scale down to 1/50 scale) that require photography. Having a tool like this is a game-changer and I am so happy to have this SmokeNINJA in my kit.The instructions leave a fair amount to the imagination, but with a little patience and deductive reasoning, you will be able to sort it out as I did and then the fun can truly begin.I need to stress the same warning that the manufacturer offers - this is not a toy. It is a serious tool that is potentially dangerous if mishandled. There are components on this unit that get extremely hot with extended use, so it should not be operated by someone who isn't prepared to stay alert and focused while operating it.With that disclaimer out of the way, this thing is all kinds of fun and the three settings (fog, dry ice, and steam) each have their own distinct texture and feel giving you many options for the scene you are trying to build.The set comes with enough "cloud formula" to sustain 200 minutes of use. Since I use this stuff sparingly, a single bottle is likely enough for 25-35 shoots. The instructions say not to use any third-party brand of fog juice and, while I often think these warnings have more to do with the manufacturer wanting to ensure return business, in this particular case, I would take them at their word. This is a very precise and well-calibrated device and I am not going to risk clogging it up just to save a couple of bucks.Overall, I am so impressed by this device that the only thing that could oblige me to revise this review with a lower score is if it stops working six months from now. For now, this is absolutely a 5-star device and one I heartily recommend.

This was kinda difficult to set up and you have to hold down the button for it to work so its a two person job if your using it to take cool pictures. It dose work pretty well though just not very convenient.
