Taken my training to next level; great customer service
Product arrived in good condition; took me a few goes to get the methodology refined. I reached out to Joseph at HeartsBio and he was AMAZING at providing me guidance. As a result I'm getting high quality readings that have allowed me to refine my training zones by using lactate strips to record bio markers. Next steps are to start applying it to other peoples' training too!

Total garbage
Recurrently gives errors of "used test strip" when using brand new strips, costing a fortune in strips that don't give data.

This thing is a steal
I am a D1 track and xc athlete. Sub 25 8k, 3:53 1500. This thing has given great results they all seem to be pretty accurate. The 5 second test time is very convient when doing interval. I try to keep lactate under 2.0 for morning aerobic threshold session and under 3.0 for second session. Going to elevation to train this summer and will definitely be bringing this along to help out with training.

Each Stripe is Individually Packaged for Optimal Results
From my experience, this meter is more reliable than the Edge, primarily because each stripe is individually packaged, preventing oxidation. The meter is also fast and has been incredibly helpful for both Zone 1 and Zone 2 biking and running. For me, Zone 1 is where my lactate stays at baseline or even drops below it. According to Alan Couzens' research, Zone 1 training is highly beneficial for building a strong base and is the best way to shift your lactate curve to the right, even more effectively than Zone 2.Few points Alan makes.Train at your *minimal* lactate level.Lactate and fat oxidation tend to vary inversely, so if you identify the level of intensity that leads to the lowest lactate, it is likely you will also find your maximal fat oxidation around this point. The best endurance athletes in the world will do 90% of their work at ~1 mmol/L of lactate. Many amateurs will struggle to get down to 1 mmol/L of lactate even when walking 🚶If you struggle to get down to 1 mmol/L of lactate when walking...... you should be walking

Easy to use and reliable
As a runner and cyclist, I recently purchased the HeartsCare C1 Lactate Acid Meter, and it has quickly become an essential part of my training routine. Before using the meter, I didn’t fully understand Zone 2 training—an endurance method that focuses on maintaining a steady, moderate effort to keep lactic acid levels low. However, with the C1 meter, I can now track my lactate levels during both runs and rides, giving me valuable insights into my performance. The meter has been instrumental in helping me identify the exact heart rate (HR) range needed to stay in Zone 2, allowing me to adjust my effort and optimize my endurance training. It’s been exciting to see how this has improved my training and enhanced my aerobic fitness.Using the meter is simple, with results available in just five seconds. While it requires a small blood sample, which can be a bit tricky to apply to the strip, it’s similar to using a glucose meter. Despite the small learning curve, I’ve found it easy to integrate into my routine.I highly recommend the HeartsCare C1 to any athlete looking to better understand their body and refine their training. It’s also a great tool for anyone focused on improving long-term health, performance, and maintaining a healthy diet. While I hope the cost of test strips decreases in the future, I believe the investment is well worth it, especially for fine-tuning my HR zones and maximizing my training results.
