Great for kids and cats
I have a kiddo who is super into roombas and robots. I have a cat who is super into anything that moves. What do you get when you put them together? A hot mess where a toddler and cat fight over the same toy, but they seem happy. There are enough beetles for both to play with. This does need some assembly help from an adult. The connection points on the tracks are a little brittle, and we broke one before figuring out the trick to it. The tunnel-looking stuff is actually a flexible fence that (mostly) keeps the beetles wrangled. Connecting the fences is easy enough for a child to do.The noise level is iffy. With all the beetles turned on, the buzzing is about as loud as a cheap fridge. They don't run well on carpet, so they have to be on a smooth surface. We put them on our hardwood floor, but beware, the noise travels through the floor and sounds like rain to anyone living underneath you.The toy definitely has a lot of playability. Our son has kept coming back to it over the last few months and enjoys making different setups. There's also something mesmerizing about how the beetles move. It's fairly lifelike, as if they're exploring and trying to escape from the pen.

Hours of fun for the kiddos
I bought this for my son and an addition to his other nano bug set. He absolutely loves creating different race tracks and making the biggest tracks possible. He can play with this for hours on end.

Great gift for boys 4 and up
The media could not be loaded. A great gift for little boys, I would say age 4 and above. The product is good. Mine came with a broken part (black rotary fan thing, shown in picture). I wish they had picture guides to build different tracks. It’s been three days and the batteries are still going. The little wheelless cars are very cute. Look like tiny bugs, they move fast. My son loves it!

So fun!
My four year old grandson loves this toy. He enjoys making his own track configurations almost as much as he enjoys the nano bots running on it, however the pictures of potential track designs on the box aren't realistic and even if you could build three levels of track, the bots can't climb anything that steep.

These Crazy Bots Kept the Kids Transfixed
I remember getting a a Hexbot for Christmas and loving it as a kid. This provides a “playground” for the bugs so they don’t run amok in your kitchen immediately and it enhances the experience so much! I have an 8 year old and a three year old and they love these little robo bugs. One caution is that some connectors on the track pieces are quite brittle and if you aren’t careful you can snap them right off.

Fun toy
Great open ended building toy. And we had an issue with a broken part that the company helped us solve. The batteries do die quickly but it's worth it if your kids love changing the way that they design the course each time. Good value for money.
