Good Aero Garden Alternative
I purchased this as a replacement for Aero Garden pods. Everything I've grown using this set has grown just beautifully in my Aero Gardens. My tomatoes have buds which is very exciting! The lettuce has been prolific and tastes great. I would recommend and not hesitate to purchase again. In fact, I will!

Much better germination than my Aerogarden seeds
I almost gave up on my Aerogarden because many of the pods I received with the Aerogarden failed to germinate. Even many of the free Aerogarden replacements didn’t grow. Before giving up I decided to try a different brand of seeds. I bought the InBloom tomato and strawberry seeds about a month ago and, following the detailed instructions the vendor provided, started them in my Aerogarden hydroponic garden.I used the paper towel method and then transferred the germinating seeds into the pods and placed them in the Aerogarden. It’s too soon to have tomatoes or strawberries, but they are all growing, which has not been the case with many of the Aerogarden seeds. The tomato plants are growing faster than the strawberry plants, exactly as the product description states.

Meh…so far….and still is as of my update.
***UPDATE 5/2025Sooo, after much conversation with vendor and trying to make this work all I got out of it was 2 tomato plants. As seen in the picture everything else either died at the time this picture was taken or shortly thereafter. I transplanted both tomato plants outside and am hoping for the best but in all honestly I still can’t recommend because this was a lot of time and effort to end up with 2 tomato plants and the one is iffy. Aerogarden is expensive but so much easier and their lettuce grows.Never again! There are too many things you have to do, with aerogarden you need to only pop them in the unit. This kit wants you to germinate with tissue paper which I started yesterday. I also noticed that you need to move everything after it gets growing, didn’t realize that when I purchased. You need to make this easier for people like Aerogarden, just pop in and let grow. So this is not a great value for the money so far but after germination and growth I will come back and adjust accordingly if this works out.

Outstanding Germination Rates and Delicious Homegrown Produce!
I am repeat customer for the planting seeds. I recently took the plunge and purchased this seed packet containing lettuce and tomato seeds, eager to grow my own delicious vegetables. I must say that I am very pleased with the results! The germination rate was outstanding—almost every seed sprouted within a week. For a few seeds that initially didn't germinate, I tried the paper towel seedling method, and to my surprise, it worked beautifully; they all sprouted within two to three days.Watching the lettuce and tomatoes grow in my garden has been both fun and exciting. In particular, the lettucewas a breeze to grow and developed into robust plants in just two to three weeks. Its crunchy texture and refreshing flavor make it perfect for adding a burst of freshness to any salad. As for the tomatoes, while I'm still patiently waiting for them to bear fruit due to their longer growing cycle, I have no doubt they'll be just as impressive.Overall, I highly recommend these seeds to both novice and experienced gardeners. They are an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy the simple pleasures of fresh, homegrown produce right from their own backyard. These seeds are also easy for newcomers to handle, so don't hesitate to give them a try—you'll be amazed at how satisfying it is to grow and harvest your own vegetables

Hydroponic kit
I used the tissue method and none of the strawberry seeds sprouted. Then decided to plant the tomato seeds right in the dirt and transplant them into the pods. It is probably just as good to just place some seeds into the pods and have them germinate. Fifty fifty success is not what I would call good. I prefer the ones that give you the seeds already in a pod and then place into the hydroponic kit.

Excellent Product , Though Some Steps Are Not Necessary
This Organic Lettuce Seed Pod Kit arrived with everything you would need to start a lettuce garden. The Grow Sponge fits well in the baskets that are provided. The holes to insert the seeds are quite large compared to other pods/sponges that I have used. That's a big plus.Fertilizer is included and easy to use. Grow domes are included, however, they don't fit well. The stickers for the baskets are Very Sticky, so you may end up having to remove it from your hydroponic unit if it overlaps the top of the basket. Use a bit of lotion to remove the residue. There are More Than Enough seeds to get you started. I like that it is Non GMO. I can use it for future plantings in my Aero Gardens as well as in pots.As my title stated, some steps are Not necessary. You DO NOT need to pre-soak the Grow Sponge before using it. When you place it in your hydroponic unit, the water will wick upwards to soak the sponge. Skip that step.Pre soaking the seeds is also unnecessary. Place it in the Grow Sponge , water wicks upwards, your seeds are now already soaking in moisture.I planted my seeds and within 48 hours, I already have signs of germination. Photos included. YMMV.I've been growing lettuce hydroponically for several years and can say that this product is a winner. Get it for yourself, a family member, as a gift for a friend, etc.
