4th Grade Reading and Writing (Star Wars Workbooks)

I got this because of the current ELearning situation. Reading and writing are my son’s biggest struggle so I got this in hopes it would help since he loves Star Wars. While the work is pretty great and relevant to his schooling, it’s mostly the newer Star Wars characters, whom he doesn’t really know or is particularly interested in. There are also several sections that we both struggled through because if you don’t know Star Wars, it’s confusing. If you and your kid are big Star Wars fans, I would recommend it. If you’re not, just be warned that you may be clueless for certain activities. Overall it’s a good workbook.

I bought both the math and english volumes of these for my 1st and 4th graders to supplement during covid-forced homeschooling. My boys were initially excited to use these-it's star wars! And the pictures are fun. However, the novelty quickly wore off as we continued to use them. It's just repetitive practice. The math is better than the english-sometimes in some of the proofreading exercises, the names from the star wars universe are hard to spell and sometimes pronounce, which makes everything unnecessarily complex. I'd say only buy it if you are looking for extra practice worksheets, but not workbooks that actually enhance understanding.

This book does a great job of sticking with common core standards, and it makes it fun by making everything Star Wars themed. It jumps around a lot, and doesn't really teach the material, it's more for reinforcement of topics they have already been taught.

This might be a little hard for some kids due to the vocabulary being very Star Wars based. Many of the words used are not something they’ve come across before. Still useful and my son was actually excited to do his exercises each day.

Good product to keep the kids active during so much COVID down time. We will use these books throughout the school year and summer!

Bought many of these different Grades and Tasks 4my 3 Grandkids, they Love them, they sit down and whip thru the lessons in a couple of days. Some r easy, some r harder, so I think they r at the Grade Level of Book. I think they do Help and cost is OK so I will get more as they age.

My son enjoys reading this workbook. It definitely motivates kids to read and work on the questions.
