TimexExpedition Rugged Metal Watch

a great war horse !!!!!!
I like my Timex Expedition watch because I can wear it daily I like its versatility because the size is quite conservative 40mm in diameter which falls into the category of classic about 9 or 10mm thick which makes it imperceptible on my wrist it is very comfortable and uses a 20mm leather strap this will make my task easier when I want to play with various combinations because it is a standard size and I can find many ( a lot !!)The reading of the watch is quite easy and clear in any situation because the design is almost military, the hour indexes (numbers) are applied and that makes the watch look too goodFASCINATES ME !!!In low light situations you can choose to turn on the INDIGLO function (it is a kind of luminosity mechanism that makes the dial of the watch light up and you can read the time more quickly)It has the day and date window located at 3 o'clock in white that contrasts very well with the color of the dial, which is like a cream color, giving it a timeless air.One detail that I don't like is the fact that the bezel is fixed!!!!It is not rotating .....🤦🏻♂️😬But neither do I consider that it is something of considerable relevance, I just would have liked one more function. What I particularly like is that the case is made of brass, a material that will acquire an interesting patina over time.On the subject of precision, it is something that I have to highlight because it is a Timex quartz movement which works wonderfully.(+/- ) 15 seconds per month so nothing to worry aboutIn terms of hermeticism, I can say that this watch has a resistance of 100 meters, this works wonderfully in most day-to-day situations. All this in a watch under 50 bucks seriously....... 😳😅I did not doubt it at any time from my humble opinion it is worth every penny it is a piece of a respected and valued brand in the watch industry (TIMEX) of good design and resistant for my day to day, which will undoubtedly provide me with the time in my wrist for many years.I recommend it 100% !!!!!!!!!

Accurate and good looking watch!!
Outstanding value!! Good looking and excellent time keeping. No instructions however so after experimenting you realize to move the time or date you turn the stem forward but to change the day of the week you turn the stem backwards.

First Watch Delivered Didn't Work - Replacement is Great
The only reasons I gave an overall 4 star review instead of a 5-star was due to (1) receiving a faulty watch on the first delivery attempt. That watch simply didn't start as it should after simply pulling off the protective tab - I suspect there was a battery problem. So, I returned it and waited another week for the replacement to be delivered. (2) The instruction sheet did not provide complete instructions, and though I already knew how to change the Date, I had to watch YouTube vids to recall how to change the Day of the week. But this replacement watch works fine, and I do love this watch and wear it all the time. I've been purchasing various Timex Expedition watches over the years, and this particular style is a favorite due to it's rougher "outdoorsy" style of appearance with its silver-toned brass case and stable chronograph paired with the brown Ieather strap. At the time of my Amazon purchase, it was also a considerable cost savings over the same model in a local store. I camp a lot during Spring/Summer, and the Indiglo light (just press the button) offers easy time viewing at night or when waking early in the tent. Since most of my camping is by lakes, having a 100m water resistance (330 feet) provides me great reassurance should I slip and fall in the water, or the watch slip off in the water, or I forget to take it off while swimming (A previous Expedition I owned was only 50m water resistance so if water is in your future, be alert to water resistance.)

Light, soft, slim and analog.
Thick leather strap for this thing, it's timex so you know what you're getting into. Just got today but she's a keeper, and the metal finish is awesome. I wanted an analog because I've been using digital for years but it's so overused and generic almost these days, it's mostly the older generation still using analog, but 25 year old me will try and bring it back. It comes rearing and ready to go, just set the time and click the dial in, boom done, and the hands glow in the dark, I didn't know that at first. It feels a little awkward at first, but just try and bend the leather around break it in, because it IS real leather, after a few minutes you almost forget it's even there, I prefer the leather to silicone and rubber honestly, great Timex watch, no wonder this was my father's favorite brand.

Great Watch
I have worn the Timex Indiglo for many years (having recently purchased my fourth one). It used to have an alarm (which I miss) and a rotating (dual use) bezel (which I didn't really have a need for), but which also separately set the alarm. Timex removed the alarm a while ago and now the rotating bezel (I presume in an attempt to maintain the low price of the watch (which you can get for $42 if you are lucky or up to $60.The bands last easily 1 year (or longer depending on how often and how hard the watch is worn). No leather strap will last if you exercise, etc. while wearing it. So maybe consider a watch with a rubber band. Or better yet, maybe buy two watches. The battery usually lasts 4 to 5 years and I replace the band once during that time. So, for the watch purchase and a replacement band, a total cost of $60-$65 to have a watch for 4 years or more. Not a bad deal! It's very difficult to complain about this watch given the modest price and, true to Timex reputation, that they are generally indestructible. I like the look (dressy casual) and feel (the size and weight which are perfect for smaller wrists). I highly recommend, but they are getting more difficult to find (i.e. less available than they used to be).
