Rose and Ben are the best!
I had never heard of Rose and Ben. One day I was buying makeup online and it was a cream foundation, I asked this huge beauty company what brush they would suggest and they said Rose and Ben. Well one foundation brush led me to buy a whole set and I am not sorry. They are a little pricey but made well, will last and are worth it. The brushes make blending eyeshadows, foundation, concealer a breeze. Never before has blush blended so well and stays right where it should. It even blends cheap makeup well. I’m finding it’s not so much the makeup you use but the tools you use that make the difference and these brushes are the perfect tool! Love them

Use regularly
I honestly purchased this travel set as a way to try the brand and I am really loving it! The face brushes I am using almost daily. Washed well too.

Bleeds red dye after washing
I looked forward to receiving the brushes and, when they arrived, I washed them following the instructions and laid them at an angle with the handles up on a new white washcloth. Next morning, I noticed red dye transfer on the washcloth where the bristles had been. Contacted Rose and Ben but they told me since I purchased it on Amazon, there's nothing they can do. I don't want to use it on my face if it is bleeding red dye on white towels.

Wish this had a powder brush for the price, but otherwise nice set of travel brushes
I’ve heard of Rose and Ben brushes (along with Rose Siard) before, always wanted to try them. These definitely are nice brushes, and I’d say these are definitely a splurge. The synthetic fibers are super soft therefore not scratchy or rough on the skin at all. I always wash new makeup brushes for first use, and these did not shed at all. The cream to powder complexion brush (the rectangular one) in this set reminds of my favorite contour brush from Sonia Kashuk, that sadly don’t think is made anymore. But the one brush that in this set I always reach for is the cream concealer brush - it’s the perfect shape to grab and apply NARS soft matte concealer to the under eye area. But as the title indicates, really wish there was a round or dome shaped powder brush included with the set. A highlight and soft diffuse blush brush would have been awesome too. They at least include a nice standup storage bag for the brushes, and even made it long enough to hold full length ones. A+ for the brush bag. Overall though I do have mixed feelings about the price: they’re definitely nice, quality brushes, but $135 is pretty high for just 5 travel brushes and a brush bag. And this is coming from someone who also owns brushes from Scott Barnes, Sigma, and MAC, so I don’t mind splurging on good brushes. I probably wouldn’t have minded the price so much if it had include a few more face brushes I mentioned above. I’d say if you have money to throw at a travel brush set, go for this one.

Everything About These Brushes Says “Quality”
All five brushes have gray glossy enamel coated wood handles and incredibly soft, dense faux sable bristles held firmly in place by matte black aluminum heads. The photo of the zippered travel bag that doubles as a standing brush holder doesn’t do it justice. The black and gray/white marbled fabric bag is about 9 ½” x 3 ½” x 2 ½” and holds all the brushes plus whatever powder or liquid makeup you might need while traveling. It becomes an attractive, solid black, standing brush holder to leave on your counter top after you fold the marbled half down to expose its black interior. The holder is very stable, stands about 7” high, and is tall enough that the brushes don’t stick out over the top but are still easy to reach. There is a brush for almost every purpose except for eye and lip liner. They worked well with loose and pressed powder, blusher and eye shadow, but I prefer to put liquid makeup on with my fingers. Following the instructions on the box, I washed the largest brush with a bit of undiluted baby shampoo, rinsed with warm water, wrapped it in a washcloth (my idea), squeezed out the extra water, gently reshaped the head, and laid it flat on a hand towel to dry. It was still a little damp in the morning, but I turned it over and put it on a dry towel. It was ready to use again by the evening and looked like new.

The best cosmetic brush investment I've ever made.
Considering the price of this 5 brush set, I needed to be really "wow'd". I am. They're exceptionally well made. They have a nicely balanced feel in my hand, with seamless metal bands securing soft-as-sable vegan brush heads. I've never used synthetic brushes with such a luxe feel. They do not shed, not one "hair", and keep their shape perfectly after washing/drying. Included: a large, thick, fan-shaped brush that I like for blushes and finishing powder; a short, plush, round head for applying my contour and highlight shades; a small conical and a small fan shape, for eye shadows; and my fave -- a mid-sized, versatile, angled brush that works beautifully for...everything, short of broad coverage needs. The tops of all are lightly rounded. I'm no makeup artist, but these brushes make me feel like one. They help me apply and blend my cosmetics with almost flawless results. Come with a soft-side, zippered travel bag that expands/collapses to preferred height, with a flat bottom to stand it upright. Plenty of room inside for more brushes (these 5 cover all my needs) or other supplies. With proper care, I expect this Rose and Ben cosmetic brush set to last for years, making it a good investment. I'm happy to recommend it.
