Awesome 5 star item!
First two pics are from when I bought it in October '24 and the last two are two months later. I work in a professional kitchen, so it sees its share of work. It's absolutely worth the price, no signs of rust yet, handle can handle heat pun intended! It feels premium, heck it's been scrubbed with steel wool and barely a scratch, I use this on our char grill this vs some other turners I've tried*cough cough* the sasquash were too poorly made to get the job done, I can tell it'll last a long time. I had a review originally on here for this but it may have been deleted.

Hell’s Handle will elevate your smash burger game!
I recently purchased the Hell’s Handle to see if I could improve upon my, already awesome, smash burger skills. I have to say that I am very impressed with this spatula. It has the weight of a quality tool but it is also comfortable and balanced. The width is perfect for smashing and handling food on the grill without being too large. I mention this because my griddle isn’t very large so I need to be mindful of space. My previous smashing tool required a lot of area between each item, which slowed my cook.Back to Hell’s Handle...the edge is sharp enough for separating meat and fat from the grill while not so sharp that it will cut you. When a smash burger is made correctly you will get delicious caramelization and Hell’s Handle did in fact elevate my game.

Sturdy solid ultimate spatula
Look- is this a ridiculous amount to spend on a single spatula? Yes. Could it be the last spatula you buy? Also yes. Very little to no flex while smashing burger patties. Does not appear to affect the tool at all. Very well built, exactly what I wanted. If anything, the spatula blade is a little too big, but not to the point of being legitimately detrimental. If you're looking for a spatula to smash patties, just buy this thing and be done. Buy once, cry once. No regrets.

This thing rules
I originally bought a wallpaper scraper to make sure I could get smash burgers to release with all their crispy goodness, which I needed when all I was using was an OXO turner...but this thing makes the wallpaper scraper irrelevant. Does everything on its own.It also is so massive that it makes cooking large quantities a lot easier and can even be used as a decent scraper for cleaning (though a bench-style scraper may still be slightly better suited). But yes, this thing is awesome and you should buy it.

High Quality, Very Large
I was surprised by just how large this was. My primary use for it is smashing burgers in pans. This one is a bit larger than I would use for smashing burgers. For that purpose, the Mercer Culinary M18280 which is 5" x 4" strikes me as a better size. The execution of this spatula is first rate. It is very solid, easy to clean, and durable. I bought the 5" x 3" first and thought so much of it I have also purchased the 5" x 4" and 6" by 5". I can highly recommend all of these spatulas.

Just what I was looking for BUT.....
This thing is massive, so you won’t be turning eggs or flipping pancakes with it. But that’s not why I bought it. I specifically bought it for working with large cuts of meat on my Grill and Smoker. It's a great substitute for the large spatula offered by Treager. Which also happens to be one third more expensive. My one complaint... is the Hell's Handle itself.I own a number of other items from the Mercer Hell's Handle product line. I love them all, but have the same gripe about each. The material the Hell's Handle is made of. It's "HARD" plastic. Yes it's heat resistant to 500 degrees, which is a plus. But it's just plane "HARD" to the touch. Each time I go to pick up one of my Hell's Handle products. I get the same disappointing sensation. Even after owning them for as long as I have. I keep expecting there to be some kind of rubberized grippy sensation. But then the disappointment sets in. When again and again, all I feel is just plain hard plastic. That being said. I knew going in how the handle material would feel. But this handle is the worst of all the Hell's Handle products I own. The Mercer design folks need to take some refresher courses in ergonomics. The handle is a bit wide for my hands but nicely rounded on the sides. It’s also flatter on the top and bottom. Which makes if feel a somewhat awkward in my hand. At least, the way I "instinctively" want to grip the Spatula. Because the handle is wide and more flat on the top and bottom. It forces me to turn my hand slightly. So the line from the heel of my hand to the thumb. Runs strait down the center line of the spatula. Which does work when lifting or turning a large cut of meat. It just feels un-natural to hold it that way. Also, there's no hole in the handle. To allow it to be hung on the side of the Grill or Smoker, along with my other cooking utensils.Other than the handle issue. All-in-all, I think it's a great back yard BBQ tool. The balance is such. You can let go of spatula, with nothing resting on it, and the handle doesn't rock back and make contact with the hot cooking surface. It's stiff enough for making Smash Burgers. So now, a separate tool just for that purpose is no longer needed. But that also makes it strong enough. To easily pick up and move around large cuts of meat on the Grill or Smoker.

Versatile & Solid
Great construction. High quality material engineered to please any cook. I love the way the edges are beveled - perfect to grab a burger off the griddle or grill - and wonderful for flipping a big serving of hash browns without messing up the crispy edges. Well made. And then there is the unadvertised "smashed burger" function. This turner is heavy duty and solid. You can do a smash burger with it alone or grab more weight on top of the turner using a flat meat tenderizer. A very nice add to my inventory. I love it when a utensil can perform multiple tasks.
