Super useful gadget! It is bigger than I expected though, I put it up in a shared space to keep track of noise levels, and it works great — the display is big and easy to read even from a distance. Love that it gives a warning when things get too loud. Setup was simple, and it looks kind of cool on the wall too. Definitely helps keep the place quieter without needing to say anything!

It is very small and suitable for hanging on the wall or using in any environment to sensitively monitor various noises in daily life.

This product did not work sufficiently well to measure sound in my classroom. I miss the return window or I would have returned this item.

Seems accurate within 10 decibels anytime I try it, and that's to both directions. Good for a ballpark measurement only

The media could not be loaded. I have some background in measuring decibels and I think that this is a great device for its intended application. As it states this is for a classroom or library. I did some test with it and in a regular setting that it is intended for. It works well. This device turns from dormant to green when actively moving and then will escalate in color variation going from a bright green (noise level ok) to orange when getting up into the higher decibels and over 85 turns red. I could see this being good for training a classroom on noise. And them probably getting to a point that the kids monitor it and self correct before the device tells them to, “Please be quiet”. The device is the heavy and you don’t have to be the one shushing and being the bad person. Really like it. Highly recommend this devise.

After using it for a few days, I really like how easy this product is to use

I needed a sound meter to measure the noise levels my exhaust is making so I can pass the strict sound restrictions at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca. I have a 92db day coming up so I needed a decibel meter. I decided to give this one a try. It came well packaged and it was larger then I expected. Batteries were included so that was helpful. I like the fact the screen changes color to tell you what the noise level is current at. I also like the hold feature so I can mark what the noise level is at. I want to say the meter is fairly accurate. The meter said my exhaust was at 91.2 and when I went to Laguna, I wasn't black flagged. I'm glad the meter helped and it will be useful in the future when I monitor exhaust levels.
