Quiet & Sturdy: Bingotec 24V Power Supply for LED Projects
The media could not be loaded. In A Nutshell: It's a well-built LED power supply with built-in safety circuits, but some limitations. The +ve’sSolid Construction: The metal casing feels substantial, with secure screw terminals and no rattling components.Silent Operation: This power supply ran completely silently when tested.Mounting Options: Notches on either end allow for screw-down mounting.Good Performance: During initial testing, the power supply's voltage output fluctuated slightly between 24V and 23.97V over 30 minutes. After this initial period, the voltage settled at a steady 23.93V. This stable voltage successfully powered a 24V 72W COB LED strip with minimal heat build-up from the power supply itself which is hardly surprising given the unit’s 12.5A capacity which should provide ample headroom to handle even more power in future projects.Safety and Protection: I really like that the power supply has multiple protection circuits built-in - overload, over-voltage, over-temperature, over-current, and short circuit. I also like that, in the event of a fault that’s subsequently fixed, the unit will auto-recover instead of having to reset it.Clear Labelling: Input and output connectors are clearly marked, and the terminals are of good quality.Earthing: The metal case acts as a heat sink and needs to be earthed for safety. Earth continuity was verified to be correct in this unit. The Circuit Board: This is well laid out, and its constituent components are nicely configured - it is a very tidy piece of electrical manufacturing - and I'd be happy to use this in my projects.Down To EarthNon-waterproof: This power supply is not suitable for damp environments and will need protection if used anywhere with moisture. The -ve’sNo Output Adjustment: The unit lacks a pot to adjust the output voltage.Dangerous Advertising: The product description claims it's suitable for 12V LED strips, which is incorrect. Overvoltage can damage equipment and potentially cause a fire - DO NOT use this transformer for 12V projects. The VerdictWhile nothing out of the ordinary, this 24V power supply is well-built, quiet, and delivers stable power close to its rated output. The mounting options and high amperage rating make it suitable for various LED projects. However, the lack of waterproofing and voltage adjustment limit its overall versatility. It's crucial to note that the advertised use for 12V LED strips is incorrect and potentially dangerous. Beyond that, this power supply seems pretty good for powering 24V LED projects in dry environments.

Bulletproof
I've been making some DIY softboxes and needed a reliable LED driver to power a lot of LED strips. This thing is rock solid and cool running and I wired mine up to an IEC port on my homemade softbox and made sure not to obscure the mesh to allow it to keep cool.So far so good.

Cool Running: The 12V 25A 300W Power Supply Packs a Punch
The 12V 25A 300W Universal Regulated Switching Power Supply is a robust unit that's surprised me with its cool efficiency. Despite its lack of active cooling, this power supply unit (PSU) operates with a surprising coolness, seemingly unfazed by its environment or workload. Even in areas with limited airflow, it manages to maintain a low temperature, a testament to its well-designed heat dissipation system. The sturdy build quality instills confidence, and during my hands-on time, it hasn't skipped a beat, functioning impeccably. The perforated metal housing is not only practical for cooling but also adds an industrial chic to its look. An internal LED indicator keeps you informed of its power status, while the regulated output ensures that even your most delicate electronic devices receive a steady stream of power. What's more, this PSU is no light-weight contender; it's a serious component that delivers on its promises. Its compact form factor, coupled with convenient screw mounting points, allows for a fuss-free setup in snug spaces. However, it's wise to heed the advice of not pushing it beyond 80% of its stated capacity—adhering to a 20 amp and 240-watt limit is a good practice for safety and longevity. The mesh cage is a thoughtful inclusion, promoting further heat dispersal. Installation is a breeze, thanks to the clear markings indicating where each wire should be connected, and the terminal covers provide an extra layer of protection. While I opted for a bit of tape to secure these covers for peace of mind, the overall setup is user-friendly and safe. Although I might have preferred quick-release connectors for sheer convenience, at this price point, the screw-down terminals are a minor compromise, and my workaround with pigtail quick release connectors was simple. This PSU is an excellent choice for anyone needing to power multiple 12V DC devices from a single source, delivering reliability without breaking the bank.
