Very happy with this bag. I looked at all sorts of high-end and low-end bags and decided to give this one a shot - for price point, functionality, and design.Pluses:- The right number of pockets. I use the little phone pocket all the time; love that it's slightly fuzzy to protect my phone. It's that perfect, incredibly convenient stash pocket for the two items I carry everywhere - keys, phone. The chapsticks and the wallet live in the front zip pocket, which also has a key fob.- It stands up on its own! My last purse absolutely didn't do that, and I love that I can put this thing down on a seat next to me and it stands up.- The big compartment is surprisingly spacious. I'm someone who travels like a minimalist, but I love that the big compartment is big enough to throw a midweight layer inside - think a sweatshirt. I've put lunchboxes in there before.- It lays very nicely across my back and is very easy to access all the pockets when I sling it forward.- I love that it has a small profile and hangs nicely from a peg. I have a peg by my door where this thing gets hung up the moment I get home = no more lost purse!Minuses:- the fabric is slightly shiny, which I'm sad about. Would have preferred a truly matte canvas fabric. I do think this is more durable and weather-resistant than matte canvas, though.- I'm right-handed, and this bag is designed to go over your right shoulder - which means the phone zip pocket has you reaching across your body with your right hand to access it. I got used to it pretty fast, but would've preferred a left-shoulder bag.- It's a little bit industrial feeling. I made it better by removing the carhartt label and putting a little embroidery on the bag.- The hanging hook should be 1 cm longer; it can be difficult to get it over larger pegs.

I love this bag. I used it for a trip recently and was able to fit all my essentials for a day of touring. Great size with pocket to help find chapstick and other small necessities. I can fit a light jacket, travel umbrella, water bottle, sunglasses and hand wipes.

Exactly what I needed...sturdy material and zipper...very cool color...perfect shape and size. I imagine it'll last for ever.

I used to love carhart, you knew it was quality and it was going to last. But over the last few years the quality has been diminishing massively. This bag feels like a cheap swapmeet bag and definitely not worth 50$ IMO

This shoulder bag is great, just like all items that are carhartt.

This is a really small bag to be an EDC. The pockets don't make much sense and the straps are thin and weak. It will make a fine gift for a teen gal looking for a cool purse she can stick patches on. For a pistol carry and small amount of bug out gear it is the pits.
