Fun price point, I collect watches/all price points
I own several of the brand. I like the display and design. I like the water resistance. My tip: no matter the water resistance rating, or the price of ANY watch...not a good practice to wear in a shower that you are going to use soap/s, etcThat can penetrate and degrade any gasket/seal. I don't care if a Rolex. If it's just a beach shower, you're okay. ~ reviewed; 09/26/2024

Huge watch
Easy to read, easy to use. I'll wear it every day for the next 4-6 years. Worth it.

WHAT'S MORE VALUABLE THAN TIME?
I know that this ARMITRON Sport Watch is a mid level entry into the watch market. Armitron is a very well known brand. The family who brought these onto the market still exists today. I was not very impressed with this particular model. It functions just fine and just as advertised. I just felt it looks a bit too industrial in real life. It's not a bunch of plastic but it looks like it. I was expecting the rubber wrist band, and it is just that-rubber. Calling it resin does not change that. I suppose it will make a great gift for a friend who may be in need of some extra time.

Excellent retro watch with low cost of entry
While I usually wear a smart watch, I do like to change it up once in a while and have a small collection of watches. I was drawn to this one because of the retro-styling, the low price, and name brand, which has been in the watch game for a while now. The watch was easy to set with reasonably clear instructions. The backlight is bright and high-contrast enough that telling time in the dark is very easy. While I haven't (nor will I ever) tested it's 100m water-resistance claim, I've used it to some degree in the pool and while washing my hands and can say in those circumstances it holds up just fine. My only gripe with it is the strap is very stiff, out of the package. I know it will become more flexible with time but it's just a touch awkward-feeling at first. Other than that small issue, I can wholly recommend this watch.

decent daily beater
The media could not be loaded. This is definitely a more masculine, motorhead design with sharp angles and metallic looking resin case. It'll get beaten, scratched, and scuffed, especially the acrylic window that sits flush with the case. In fact, I've scratched the case in a few places just using my calipers. Casio designs their watches so the crystal is recessed to protect it. This watch covers all the basic functions: time in either 12/24 hour, second world time, stop watch, timer, 3 alarms, an hourly chime, and light. These are all relatively easy to adjust and operate; my only nit piks that setting or using any one of them returns you to the default time mode so you have to cycle through all the modes and changing the hour/minute/month/date only goes up, so slow down when approaching the desired setting or you're doing the loop. The buttons are large and easy to press and their function labels are embossed into the resin case so the lettering won't fade or wear off over time. The display is large and legible with the time being in large font for quick reading. The day and date are also presented on the main time for quick reference. There are 3 boxes between the days and time that indicate which modes are running/on: the left is for the stop watch ('chrono'), the middle is for the hourly chime, and the right for the timer. You can enter any other mode and chrono and timer will flash to indicate that they're still running. The dimensions are 45.5mm side to side, 54.5mm lug to lug, and 13mm thick. It weighs only 50.73 grams. I have an 8 inch wrist and I am able to use the second to last hole on the strap. It works for me but it may be a little large for 7 inch and under wrists. The watch lays flat on the wrist and the resin strap feels comfortable. It's so light that I can easily forget that it's there. I was pleasantly surprised that the light isn't a weak and dim LED jammed in a corner that barely illuminates the time. The time is very easy to read in the dark, but the date is weirdly framed by brackets rather than just illuminating the text. And the light fades rather than simply blinking off, which doesn't really make it perform better - it's just a neat effect.I am surprised that a watch this inexpensive can be rated for 100m water resistance, so it's safe enough for swimming. And it feels durably made; no weird flexing or bending of the window or case and the strap feels secure with a metal buckle (I expected it'd be plastic at this price point).I don't give it a full 5 stars due to the slight nit piks on adjusting/setting/operating, the softness of the resin case that's easily scratched, and just because I'm a wee bit of a watch snob. It's my first and probably only Armitron. But honestly, for the price, feature set, performance, and if you have a large enough wrist and like the masculine angular design, then this is good daily beater safe enough for most water activities. Just expect it to get scratched and scuffed easily and often.BTW, it does come with a very basic and small fonted yet useable manual and a bare-bones, barely gift-worthy cardboard box.

Nice fit, easy to read, and resistant to water and wear.
The band fits my wrist very well. The display has relatively large numbers so that I have no difficulty reading it and at night I can even read it without my glasses when pressing the light button. I've worn this on the beach, in the pool, and while washing dishes by hand and it hasn't had any difficulty functioning in any of those environments. This is a basic watch with a solid construction.
