The Snow Queen (Young Reading Series 2) Paperback – 27 Aug. 2004

Purchased this again for my work - and grand children. Although slightly damaged on the back corner of the cover, not enough to notice and otherwise in very good - almost mint condition. Again - lovely illustrations - a simple story for children to follow - with a deeper meaning for when they are older. Would thoroughly recommend.

As my daughter (year 2) reads confidently but doesn't like to read chapter books by herself I was looking everywhere for books that are just under the usual chapter books but have more sentences per page than beginner books. This series fits the bill! The book contains lots of pictures to keep her interested and the text is not too difficult. Ideal if you have a slightly reluctant reader.

Easy to read to children, followers the actual story and the pictures are good. I think it would have been better if the book had been bigger then the writing would also be bigger. It is too difficult for young children to read

Lovely easy read book for around 7yo.

Excellently produced story that children can read for themselves. Bought before going to the play and the play followed the book exactly.

A surprisingly entertaining read.

Perfect! My son heard the story at school and I remembered it from my schooldays, but we could not find a child friendly translation with all the right characters - he particularly wanted the crow and the robber girl- but this had nearly everything we were looking for!

Great quality and age appropriate for my confident 6 year old reader.
