BB BROTHER BROTHER(7 Pairs Colored Oxford Dress Shoe Laces | Shoe Strings

Been wearing my tan oxford brogues for many years now, whether current style or not, but these colorful shoelaces certainly make them very contemporary. Gives a shot of WOW! Fun variety of colors that get lots of compliments. My kid calls them my "old man shoes", I don't care. So speaking from long experience, I'd say these Brother laces are the best I've had : easy to thread in the holes, supple to tie, stay tied, don't wear out too soon even with tightening often... Plus these cool variety of colors. What's not to love? I'll tell you what - the marketing! Why, in 2019 already, are these advertised "for men"? I use them and I'm female, tho that shouldn't matter. But that's my point, it shouldn't matter, shouldn't need to be specified as a "men's" product. I'm sure Brother could increase their sales via searches and lack of narrowing the demographics if they'd reconsider their verbiage. I don't get offended easily, but hey, why imply it's only for men? Silly in this day and age.Whatever. Next I'm going to buy their flat colored variety (for men AND women, wink wink). Great shoelaces, get them, def worth the price.

I see a lot of the other reviews all complain that these laces are too short, but they all ordered 30” laces so I think that’s a user error. Now, these laces are thicker than I prefer for my shoes but other than that for ~$12 it’s a pretty good value. For reference the 32” laces will work on 6-7 eyelet shoes like Allen Edmonds and Johnston & Murphy with plenty of lace to work with.

I saw some dress shoes being sold with bright blue laces and I judged. Hard. But then I saw those same dress shoes on someone at a conference and I thought they were incredible. I cannot stress to you how sly and smooth you look with just a splash of color on your shoes.Full disclosure, I hate and cannot stand "fun socks". I think they are tacky and distasteful and I cannot wait until this trend is over. However, these laces are not over-powerful and provide a nice touch of color (matching your shirt of course). I cannot recommend these enough. I've received nothing but compliments when used.All in all, a great gift or purchase for yourself. The quality of these laces are excellent as well. Hold up and don't fray.

I placed a pair of the grey laces in my shoes six days ago. This morning, the left simply snapped while being tied. In a rush to get to work, I hurriedly strung one of the black laces through the shoe, hoping no one would notice the mismatched colors. Two hours into my work day, I noticed the shoe was loose. I assumed it was untied, and as I bent down to fix it, I saw that the black lace had worn through and torn in two. In less than two hours. I went to my desk and tried to unlace the shoe, hoping to jimmy a solution to get me through the morning, and the lace snapped in yet another location.I'm not sure if they were dipped in acid or just shoddily made, but the bottom line is that these are horrible. Chewing gum has more tensile strength.UPDATE: The seller asked for my feedback and voluntarily sent me a replacement set of laces. I’ve not tried them yet and likely won’t for a while, but I do appreciate the seller’s desire to make things right. I’m increasing to three stars based on this.

Prompt delivery and superb quality! Laces are said to be 30" which they measure precisely. Based on some comments about being slightly too small, I wondered if they would meet my need, plus they are said to fit 4 - 6 eyelets, somewhat of a span (?). Removed laces from a new pair of 6-eyelets Allen Edmonds Fifth Avenue (oxfords) 10 C (#5375), that measured 31" The Brother laces fit perfectly and appear to be of the highest quality, and won't disappoint for sure. At less than $2.00 / pair, they are a very good buy and I know they will fit my other 3 pairs of oxfords.I wonder if those who found them to be slightly too small may have a wider spread of the eyelets toward the top, which means the shoe is too narrow. Ideally, oxfords should have only a slight spread from bottom to top, otherwise the shoes may be too narrow -- resulting in a larger eyelet spread thus more lace needed -- and require a wider shoe.

Can't beat it for the price. I'm one of those strange one's that changes their shoelaces almost every day to match my work shirt... I know it's weird, but it helps me stay on task to do it each evening. The shoelaces are well priced (cheap actually) and have made it through multiple iterations on both metal and fabric eyelets without any wear and tear. I'll be ordering a few more color combinations.

got these, nice shoe laces really but as others have indicated, they are little short . i'm a size 10, these going into a shoe w/ 4 eyelets and were a good 5.5" shorter than the laces they were replacing (pair of Gordon Rush dress lace-ups). they work for me and aren't too too short but.. not certain I can double knot these. I wonder if they will work in a shoe w/ 5 eyelets.. would be 5 star if had a few more inches....

I use the pink and blue colors on my mahogany and charcoal dress shoes, and they are amazing. Dress shoe quality shoe laces, durable and strong. They stay tied all day long, and are pleasant both to tie on and undo. I don't know what to do with the other five laces yet, other than to rotate colors every once in a while with my shoes, since I only rotate two dress shoes that I wear. I've gotten compliments on them since I started wearing them, and have received an excellent comment about how in the animal kingdom, the more colorful you are, the more dangerous you are. Upon looking this up, I have come to find that it is indeed true that poisonous/toxic animals are more colorful to provide warning that they are noxious. So while these shoe laces are providing fashion sense for my soles, they are also providing neat trivia for my mind while filling my heart with love and compliments.

I like the colours in the pack. Unfortunately while tying the laces for the first time they snapped. I'm not sure how strong the laces are supposed to be but this lace was easy to break. I will try other laces in due course and if another breaks I will return. Be gentle???

The actual laces are decent, but the colours don't match the pictures, I only purchased the pack for the burgundy laces, and they are more lighter pinky red in real life, so a bit disappointed

The quality is every bit as good as I’d hoped and the price for this level of quality is excellent value.

Look very nice, but unfortunately the first pair I tried have snapped in the second week of wearing!So I'm afraid that the quality is rubbish and apparently I have wasted my money.I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
