This clock has a beautifully clear display and is perfect for someone whose sight is poor. However, the backlight / white section of the clock is so bright it is intrusive and so not really suitable for home use and would be awful if located in the bedroom as it would light up the room. The clock does have an auto-dim feature that dims the display at 9 pm. My opinion is that the dimmed setting would be suitable during the day and it needs dimming further at night. Unfortunately, it is not possible to adjust the brightness. Sadly, I had to return it as my Dad is a light sleeper and would have to cover the clock at night time...which rather defeats the object of having a clock!

Absolutely amazing. Delivery was 3 -4 days but came in 2. Plugged it in, no setting up to do. Clear, bright display. My Dad, who is 93, is over the moon. He was becoming confused about times of the day especially after waking up. This clock is brilliant, he can see at a glance time, day and date. Highly recommended.
