I was curious about wet shaving and purchased this kit to get me started, rather than purchase all of the components separately. To start, it was relatively inexpensive. You would pay more if you bought each item separately, and you would probably buy a better quality item for each. But that was the point. I wasn’t sure I was going to stick with it, so I was unwilling to make the investment in better tools. Since I decided to keep wet shaving, I have upgraded the shave cream and the brush. I’m still using the tiny bowl and I am happy with the quality of it. I really am taken with the shaving bowl. It’s on the small side, and that works for me. It allows me to lather up in the bowl completely, and probably causes me to be more economical with the shave cream. In case you’re curious, the shave cream I’m using is Supply Ultra Lather Shave Cream. I recommend it without reservation. I also recommend that you consider using shaving oil. I have had a good experience with Woody’s for men shave oil.

Bought it as a gift for my boyfriend, it was a little smaller than expected but definitely lasts a while. I got it back in december and he still has most of his bar left 5 months later. Would purchase again, fits really nice in your bathroom if you don’t have much space.
