This HVAC Hydraulic Tube Expander Kit offers a comprehensive solution for cutting, chamfering, and expanding pipes ranging from 3/8 to 1-1/8 inches in diameter. The pipe cutter and deburring tools perform effectively. The expander heads, featuring six sectors, proved reliable. However, it's crucial to note that if the pipe end is expanded without rotation, there is a risk of creating a slightly hexagonal opening or cracking the opening's rim. To ensure a safe and round expansion, it is advisable to anneal the copper with a torch, then initiate the expansion gradually, releasing the pressure at the midpoint, rotating the pipe by 30 degrees, and then completing the expansion process.

The Homcamel store HVAC hydraulic tube expander kit comes with a hard case, hydraulic expander tool, tubing cutter ( with replaceable blades) ,7 standard HVAC expander heads, and a deburring tool.Testing the tool with a number of different HVAC copper pipe sizes ), it only took a few presses on the hydraulic tool handle to get a nicely expanded coupling ! This tool saves both money and time not having to purchase couplings. I also tested it on the hard plumbers copper pipe , it took a little more effort ( you must anneal the harder plumbers pipe first or it will split) , but it also worked well !Very nice complete kit, well made , good quality and if you work with copper pipe often, this is a great tool kit to have.
