After perusing hundreds of camp shower reviews, I settled on this one for it's (mostly) positive reviews. This review comes directly after my first use of this camp shower. On the shower head, there is a "button" that says "Open," but it should say "Push“ instead - to turn the flow of water on or off. Other than that initial confusion, I quickly figured out the controls. I agree with many other reviews that the user manual/assembly instructions are sparse, but it was easy to figure out. There are extra washers for the hose connection at both ends which is convenient. I like the extra length of the hose (compared to the average length of under 6 ft. on comparable showers). The battery came charged at 70%, it was about 2 hours to complete the rest of the charging. The low, medium and high output settings line up with what I would expect on those settings. I'm pretty impressed with this camp shower. The pump performed flawlessly and the highest pressure flow setting worked fantastic, given that I was concerned if it would have enough pressure to thoroughly rinse conditioner out of my mass of thick, long hair with a reasonable amount of water. It exceeded my expections, the pressure was sufficient to do the job efficiently. I used my Turkey Fryer pot for the shower water and elevated it to counter height. I used to be able to do a "trucker bath" with about 2 gallons of water. I needed at least 4 gallons for this shower because the pump DOES deliver good pressure, (and I turned the flow off in between rinses), so be prepared to use a little more water than you might expect. I was skeptical that the thin, little suction-cup feet on the bottom of the pump would hold fast to the bottom of the pot; surprisingly, those little feet held fast throughout the entire shower. Overall, I've given 5 stars because the product has delivered everything it says it would, so far.

great shower with alot of power

Why did I wait so long. I just used this after scuba diving and it was so nice to rinse off myself and my gear.

The pump comes about 60% charged from the start, I plugged it in and it took about 30 minutes to be at 100%. I wanted to have something that would be usefull for a 4 night camping trip and this did the job. I went camping with some friends and we were a total of six. The first charge was enough to shower each of us once and was left with 20% battery. We used a 27gal storage bin for water and had about half of that gone when we were done. We made the mistake of not charging it so the next night it was only enough charge to shower one of us... however, we did charged it by using a car hook up and it charged in about 45 minutes (using a fast charger). It lasted for the rest of us to shower once more and then it died. 4 star review is because even though the rubber washer was placed between the hose and the shower head there was a small drip. It would be nice if it came with plumbers tape to make sure it does seal correctly, thats what I used and it immediately stopped dripping. The pump is sturdy and not loud (I did have it in a 27 gallon container with the lid on) so the noise was a low muffle. Definitely not enough noise to wake anyone one up if you decide to shower during quiet time while camping. The pump does have small suction cups that prevent it from floating around! The shower head has an awesome feature that stops water flow... but do keep in mind that by stopping the water flower it does not shut off the pump. It also has a small turn valve that goes from low to high pressure that was convenient and works well. We used that feature because the pump does not have a heater so it was nice to have some water for our hair and then be able to scrub the shampoo without cold water flowing down. Lastly, the pump (nice and sturdy, feels expensive) and the shower head (hard plastic) also retain a little water but the cap can unscrew from the shower head and you can empty the excess water (you just gotta lightly shake the pump and water will drip out). All in all good product will make sure to charge after first use so that we dont have to wait for battery to charge. Great bang for your buck!

I have bought 3 of these 2 for myself and another for one of my boys. They have excelent battery life and work super. I cant speak for the shower head as i throw it in the trash and use the old rv style as i lime it better with only 1 slide valve that can also be used for flow adjustment and shut off.I use one when im traveling on the road and the other at elk camp , just heat up the water and have a good shower. Only trick i can tell ya is if you put it in a bucket of water and turn it on the chances is good it will not prime , instead open the valve on the shower head and start the pump and then put it in the bucket. It will prime every time.Heavily recomended if your in the need of something portable.

Amazing!! Such great water pressure

It's not perfect - the readings on it are a little off sometimes, and sometimes it takes way longer to charge than other times - HOWEVER, if you need something like this, this one really does the job. Our 1943 plumbing failed spectacularly last year and, because we have a really old house, things are taking some time to get sorted. In the meantime, we have had decent showers by having this. We had our first one for seven months and it's still working fine, and so I got a second one to make washing dishes easier. I regret that I didn't do so sooner because this is SO much easier.

The media could not be loaded. The whole kit worked for a single use but now when I go to charge the battery it sounds like it is stuck on so it attempts to pump and then dies and it is stuck in this loop. I can’t turn the pump off because it isn’t on long enough to do it. So I can’t charge it.
