Farberware 5152306 Grape Slicer – for Kids, Salads Baked Treats and Snacks, 6.5", Purple

I am SO excited about the Farberware Fresh Grape Slicer and really wish that I had found it earlier. I know it sounds silly to be excited over something like this, but I have a toddler who loves grapes. And you aren't supposed to give a small child a whole grape because it is a chocking hazard. And you can't just cut it in half, you half to cut it in half length wise and then width wise in order to eliminate the risk. Doing that takes foreeeeeeeever when you are doing it by hand. One day I was cutting grapes and complaining to my husband that someone needed to invent a grape slicer that worked similar to an apple corer. Then I said "just for the heck of it, can you check Amazon and see if they already exist?". When he told me that grape slicers are already a thing, I had him order two of them right then! lol So while the concept is kinda simple, and there's not much exciting about cutting up grapes, the fact that it has cut lunch prep time by 90% makes me so, so, so happy. And this thing works great. It's simple to use and I like that the plastic IS the blade, rather than having metal blades attached to the plastic shell, because attachment points are really hard to clean. This way, everything rinses of super easily. It's also great for making salads that call for grapes to be cut up. Seriously, I love this thing!

Love this item! Previously tried the grape cutter with the metal slicer piece and it was wayyy too difficult to clean & it rusted causing the fruit to be tainted. This is so much easier to clean! My only complaint is the durability of how this is made. We stored it in our silverware drawer and when we went to open the drawer, it got hung on the edge and snapped in half. I was devastated. So I’ll be buying another one, but wish it wasn’t so fragile. Next time we will store it in a special place...like next to the eggs.smh

This is a great time saver for cutting grapes for my child! Sometimes, the slices don’t cut into fourths but into halves so I will have to cut that piece again, to decrease a chocking risk. Also, have to make sure you rinse it really well before putting into the dishwasher or the residue of the grapes will get stuck in the slicer. But overall this is great product that I would recommend just for saving time!!

This product works well,but you need to do two things to make it work.You need to put the stem end up when you put the grape in and you need to put your thumb in the groove/depression on the top.If you place the grape stem end down the grape will be smashed and you need to put your thumb in the depression to get the parts lined up well as you put pressure to cut the grape.The product rinsed well under running water and I washed it on the top rack of the dishwasher with no problems.

I love make fruit salads but I often get tired cutting up all of the different fruits. This thing chops up bushels of grapes in seconds. You could probably use it for other small fruits/and or veggies too. It is not anything of a fancy quality material, but it's lightweight and gets the job done. Also great for kids because there are no sharp metal pieces they could accidentally cut themselves on.

This works fairly well, but sometimes I do find that it gets stuck, is a bit hard to clean, and if the object you're cutting isn't perfectly fresh, it more squishes it than cuts it, but we do still really like it. We just have to make sure we're not using older produce. It's also really handy for cutting cherry and grape tomatoes for salads and such!

Gives parents the piece of mind & ease of cutting those grapes! Easy to clean - give it a rinse under hot water or throw it in the dishwasher (we've done both & it's held up well).For best results - you do have to stand the grape up length wise to get the best cut & not width wise!

I almost broke the damn thing when I first got it. I didn't realize there was a lock on the side to keep it closed and I tried to pry it open so I could shove a grape it it. There are some cracks near the hinge but thats totally my fault. It still works great. Just so you know - there is a lock on the hinge. Also, you need to put the grape bottom on the pointy part. If you put the stem side on the pointy part you just shred the grape. I know super complicated stuff for a grape slicer.It does work great though.

Me gustó mucho Cuando lo use, pero al mes de uso se rompió uno de los palitos que cortan. Lo usaba para uvas y aceitunas ya lo tiré

My Niece would come over with her two young children and sit there and cut grapes up so they don't choke. Talk about tedious and time consuming. I ordered this product for her and she loves it. Great product and if you put grapes in a Salad...it's perfect for that also.

Amazing. Why didn’t I buy one sooner!? My toddler loves helping use this, abs it’s way faster than trying to quarter grapes with a knife.

It’s a very flimsy piece of plastic . I mean it cuts the grapes but I could do better with a knife

Yeah it cuts grapes (or kinda crushes them into slices really) but it's easy to pinch yourself and the thing is dreadful to clean. TBH I cant really get in all the little nooks and crannies and that's kinda yucky. I'd rather just cut the grapes than have to clean this thing.
